The harvest festival is a celebration held all around the world when each location reaches their main point or end of harvest; as a result of different climates, the times of year generally vary from one location to the next. On the whole, the festival sees families feasting on products that are drawn from crops at a time of year where they reach maturity.
Over the years, we have developed our fashions when it comes to tastes and we no longer rely on the basics that used to see us through. In the UK, we can now find Italian, Chinese, Indian, and many other establishments that allow us to taste the flavours of the world. However, one of the most popular in recent years has been Thai.

Basingstoke’s deliciously successful food festival was a taste of the fantastic events to come over the next few months at the Top of the Town.
To mark the start of Food Safety Week, running from Monday 4 July to Friday 8 July 2016, Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council is encouraging residents to waste less food safely, by making more use of their freezers.
This weekend saw crowds gather at Festival Place for their annual food event, Eat Street.
They might have been gone out of fashion somewhat a few years ago, but picnics are making a big comeback. Plenty of high-end shops are now stocking picnic baskets for those looking for a traditional experience that reminds them of their childhood.
