A great old fashioned pub/restaurant. The staff are friendly, polite and very helpful. The facilities are clean and very nice. The food and drink was very nice with good portion sizes. It was a little cold inside but with the fires going it would be very nice.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, service is great. The only problem was the bedroom where the beams on one side of the bed in Room 3 and the beam in the bathroom are just at dangerous level and I bumped into it many times. There are no shower curtains round the bath making it hard to shower. But overall it's a lovely hotel.

Just amazing the women was great honestly did not want to leave. The room was amazing, Food was Excellent and overall best place I stayed in the NC500 return.

Pie and pint night is a must , best value meal I've had in a long while. Thanks so much all 3 flavours were great and the loweswater gold was lovely keep up the good work we will be back .

Our new favourite pub in the Lakes. In an ocean of touristy overpriced and poor quality establishments this place stands out as an exception. The food and drinks choices, friendly service and all round feel of a genuine local all contribute for an excellent overall experience
