Bell Simulator and Tower Open Day at St James the Great, Barrow-in-Furness
Open Day with a difference - tied bells and simulator (silent outside) for most part.
Featuring the new 8 Bell Simulator, Handrail, Restoration Photobook, and Leaflets funded by National Lottery Players through the Heritage Lottery Fund micro-grant pilot scheme in Barrow.
An opportunity for members of the public to find out how bells are rung, and the active heritage that bellringing offers to everyone. We also hope a few visitors will be inspired to consider learning to ring at their local tower in time to take part in the national "Ringing Remembers" campaign (collective ringing event on Armistice centenary).
