Whether you are a visitor to the area or a local resident looking for something different to do and see, Barrow and Furness has a number of Tourist Information Centres around the area to help you.

Barrow Tourist Information Centre is based inside Forum 28 They are partners in the Enjoy England national network of information centres - assuring you of a quality and professional service.

Information is available about the Furness and Cartmel peninsulas and Cumbria generally. The centre offers an accommodation booking service for Cumbria and England.

Services include:

  • Local events listings and leaflets.
  • Local accommodation booking service.
  • Contacts for out of area accommodation and booking service for England.
  • A wide range of free leaflets on local attractions, heritage, walks and facilities.
  • Contacts and brochures for out of area destinations.
  • Local bus passes.
  • Coach holidays
  • Souvenirs and gifts

Monday - Friday 10.00am - 4.00 pm
Saturday 10.30 am - 2.30 pm
Closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

A 24 hour Visitor Information Touchscreen is available 365 days of the year and is located at the front of The Forum. When cruise ships visit the port of Barrow in Furness, a Tourist Information Centre service is established on the quayside for the duration of the visit.

 

Visitor Information Point Dalton in Furness offers a local information point and a basic information service for visitors. It is not a full scale tourist information centre.

Tourist Information Centre in Ulverston has a manned tourist information centre within the booking office at the Coronation Hall in Ulverston. Just like the Barrow centre they can provide information on what to do, where to stay and what's on in the local area and beyond.
