Never been to Ulverston and was really surprised by the quality of shops. The market was superb. To many cheeses to pick from but I did but since bits from the butcher's side. Fruit and veg, pet foods, clothes. Everything you need under 1 roof. So jealous as iour market in Birkenhead is dire

I was last here 30 years ago. Nothing has changed, except perhaps the prices. You can still get a bucket & mop and a home made tea cake, fruit and a sewing kit within six feet of each other. A gem.
