I have loved that I’ve been able to shop in the meat market and at Tuk’s Thai stall during lockdown and have enjoyed friendly chats with stall holders. Had quite a few giggles 😆. Regular free home deliveries from the Eco stall has been much appreciated, but I can’t wait to be able to visit the full market regularly for quality products and cheerful conversations. Until then I hope everyone is safe and well 💜

The market is a great place to shop and pick up your fresh meat and veg. Tuk’s Thai Food stall is amazing and full of tasty ingredients. Tuk is always happy to help you and has some good recipes to share!

Susan Dunn: Brilliant. During lockdown I needed some new pinking scissors, I went on your virtual market site and asked Susan if she had any. She replied straight away. She ordered me some and I went to pick them up last Friday. Absolutely brilliant customer service.

Now that I am trying to actively support local businesses more I find that I can find most of my basic needs at Barrow market, including fresh vegetables, meat, cooking ingredients (Thai stall) plus cooking utensils. I can save money on ecological sundries and as a hobby dress maker Andrea and Jenny’s Stitches meet my resource needs. Gift shopping is fun at Harts Jewellers and various clothing and gift stalls. Shopping in the market is enjoyable as stall holders are informed about their products and friendly and have time for a chat. I look forward to my next shop in Barrow Market. Thank you to all the stall holders who kept me informed over lockdown 2 via Facebook and fir making deliveries. Thanks to Barrow council for keeping all the essential food stalls open throughout lockdown 2. Well done everyone

Barrow Market is a great place to shop. I have recently purchased some beautiful personalised items for a 1st Communion gift. I received wonderful assistance from the stall holders and I was delighted with the products. I am now looking forward to buying some personalised gifts for Christmas.

Perhaps the 'bonus' to having such an interesting & varied market is in the stall holders like the Trimming ladies who freely give advice as does Chips, the computer genius, Mobile Man &, of course, the skilled folk at Harts the Jewellers. 'Our' market is certainly a place to visit.

Barrow Market has a good selection of interesting and unusual stalls to browse, the stall holders are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the products that they sell. The market is always kept clean, tidy and a safe place to shop.

Barrow market has a great range of stalls , old established ones and great new additions , my particular favourites are Harts Jewellers , Jenny Stitches and Sillfield farm . The stallholders are friendly and knowledgable and the products are good quality and competitively priced . The market is well managed and they try hard to attract customers with special events and have adapted well to the recent challenges posed by the Covid safety restrictions , ensuring that shopping there is still pleasurable and safe .
