Gail Porter is opening a celebrity “auction of promises” on Friday at All Saints Church in Hove, in aid of suicide prevention charity Grassroots. Tickets are £10 a head, or £50 for a table of six, and include canapes and a drink. There will be live music from 7pm, with the auction starting an hour later. The prize list includes bike riding lessons, tickets for the Krater Comedy Club, unlimited ride wristbands on the pier, a tour of the ITV Meridian Studios and a week at a Devon holiday cottage.
