Over the next week there are a number of events taking place to commemorate the aftermath of World War One throughout the area that are musically themed concerts and performances.

Smile Smile Smile this Friday 26th September from 7.30pm at Lutterworth Methodist Church as Blast from the Past present Songs of the First World War. The event has been organised by Lutterworth Wycliffe Rotary Club in aid of Rotary supported Charities.

This Saturday 27th September it’s the 'Tear Jerkers to Toe Tappers' Musical Theatre Concert fundraising for World Challenge at All Saints Church Yelvertoft. The concert begins at 7.30pm and will cost adults £7.50, children £3.50, which includes refreshments.

Also, to mark the centenary of the outbreak of World War 1, Wycliffe Drama Group will be staging the musical drama ‘Oh, What A Lovely War’ at Lutterworth College from Wednesday 1st to Saturday 4th October. The Group has assembled a large, experienced cast to perform what has become a modern classic following the first production of the show in 1963.
