The St. Matthias C of E Primary School Learning Platform
St. Matthias is situated in Malvern Link, a stone's throw away from the delightful town of Great Malvern and the beautiful, majestic hills. Many of our children come from families who have long been connected with both the school and St. Matthias Church. We have eight classes from our Nursery up to Year 6 and we currently have just under 200 pupils on our register.

St Richard’s Hospice was established in 1984 and is a local independent, Worcestershire charity. St Richard’s Hospice was founded in Droitwich, taking its name from Richard de la Wyche who was born there in 1197 and who was declared a Saint in 1262.
The hospice first started in the home of Dr Jenny Bulman before moving to Castle Street in Worcester. Home Care services started in 1984, followed by Day Hospice and the beginnings of an educational programme in 1988. As the organisation grew, so did the need for larger premises and the hospice moved to Rose Hill house in Worcester which was officially opened by Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales in May 1992.
In 2004 as hospice services continued to grow to meet demand, a £5.25m appeal was made to build a new centre with the first urgently needed specialist palliative care In-patient Unit for South Worcestershire. In 2006 the new St Richard’s Hospice opened in Wildwood Drive, Worcester.
St Richard’s serves Worcestershire including Worcester, Malvern, Droitwich, Pershore, Upton upon Severn, Broadway, Evesham and the surrounding areas.

St Wulstan’s Church is located in Little Malvern just 200 metres north of the junction of A449 and the A4104.
It is situated on slopes of the beautiful Malvern Hills, overlooking the broad Severn Plain. Restoration of the church continues after the major re-roofing project of 2003/04 which would not have been possible without, in particular, a large grant from English Heritage. The Elgar family graves are located at the southern end of the cemetery.

The Downs, Malvern is a busy, vibrant and successful co-educational
preparatory school for boarding and day children aged between 3 and

A Message From Our President
It is no surprise that the Elgar Society is the largest in the UK devoted to a single composer: not only is his music endlessly fascinating but so is the man himself! Certainly anyone who loves Elgar’s music should join the Elgar Society. Its excellent regular publications keep us fully informed about performances of his music worldwide as well as containing many fascinating articles about the man and his music alongside often previously unpublished photographs. I am hugely honoured to be President of the Society dedicated to this extraordinary composer.
