St Richard's Hospice
Wildwood Drive,Worcester,Worcestershire, WR5 2QT
St Richard’s Hospice was established in 1984 and is a local independent, Worcestershire charity. St Richard’s Hospice was founded in Droitwich, taking its name from Richard de la Wyche who was born there in 1197 and who was declared a Saint in 1262. The hospice first started in the home of Dr Jenny Bulman before moving to Castle Street in Worcester. Home Care services started in 1984, followed by Day Hospice and the beginnings of an educational programme in 1988. As the organisation grew, so did the need for larger premises and the hospice moved to Rose Hill house in Worcester which was officially opened by Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales in May 1992. In 2004 as hospice services continued to grow to meet demand, a £5.25m appeal was made to build a new centre with the first urgently needed specialist palliative care In-patient Unit for South Worcestershire. In 2006 the new St Richard’s Hospice opened in Wildwood Drive, Worcester. St Richard’s serves Worcestershire including Worcester, Malvern, Droitwich, Pershore, Upton upon Severn, Broadway, Evesham and the surrounding areas. See more

Welcome to Our School I am privileged to be the Headteacher of such an outstanding school and to work with such wonderful students and staff. We are proud of our school which provides a sound preparation for life, fosters healthy competition and commitment, encourages flair and creativity and promotes consideration for others. Staff, students and parents benefit from the very special warmth, liveliness and humanity of the atmosphere and relationships at The Chase. It is thanks to this support that The Chase is able to turn out open-minded, flexible students, well able to compete with the very best of their generation. See more
The Downs School
Brookhill Road,Colwall,Worcestershire, WR13 6EY
The Downs, Malvern is a busy, vibrant and successful co-educational preparatory school for boarding and day children aged between 3 and 13 years and here we offer, what we consider to be, an outstanding education. The school is situated on the Herefordshire side of the Malvern Hills on a striking rural 55-acre campus in Colwall. There has recently been significant investment in enhanced facilities; the boarding house has been refurbished and a new sports hall, AstroTurf hockey pitch, tennis and netball courts have been added to what has to be one of the most idyllic prep school locations in the UK. Much emphasis is placed on the outdoor curriculum, enabling young pupils to make the most of the wonderful country campus. The Downs offers comfortable, flexible, family-style boarding, providing a real ‘home from home’ experience and also runs a helpful transport network for local day children. See more
The Elgar Society

A Message From Our President It is no surprise that the Elgar Society is the largest in the UK devoted to a single composer: not only is his music endlessly fascinating but so is the man himself! Certainly anyone who loves Elgar’s music should join the Elgar Society. Its excellent regular publications keep us fully informed about performances of his music worldwide as well as containing many fascinating articles about the man and his music alongside often previously unpublished photographs. I am hugely honoured to be President of the Society dedicated to this extraordinary composer. Julian Lloyd Webber President of The Elgar Society See more

We also trace some of the history and geology of the water, where it came from and what is has been used for in the past. Our latest information can be found under News or in the MSA Newsletters.
