I would have no hesitation in recommending Clare (The Village Dressmaker) for her skill and dedication as a seamstress. Over the years, she has carried out clothing alterations for both myself and my family, offering a first class service at a more than reasonable price! I run my own local lawncare business and approached Clare recently to enquire if she would be able to make a repair to a knapsack sprayer harness that was otherwise scrap unless it could be repaired. Clare made an unbelievable repair to the harness at a modest price and it is perhaps stronger now than when I purchased it. However, this lady should be commended most of all for her work during the Covid lockdown when she appealed to her local community for materials to make bags for NHS workers, taking no payment and using her own time and facilities. She has also successfully set up her own local business network group which continues to thrive as well as promoting and supporting local businesses. She is a great example of how to run a successful business and I hope that the Village Dressmaker continues to thrive!! Well done Clare and I wish you all the best for the future!
