Snuggled away in the heart of the Cheshire countryside just a few miles from Nantwich is the Wingate Centre, a Charity devoted to enriching the lives of children and young people with all levels of disability and also those who are disadvantaged.

The Wingate Centre offers, special needs schools, voluntary organisations and self-help groups the opportunity of enjoying short term residential breaks. Within the extensive 3 acre site there is a specially equipped 22 twin bedroom accommodation facility, enjoying both indoor and outdoor disability friendly play and sensory areas.

At the heart of the Wingate Centre is a truly magnificent 7,000 square foot, fully equipped sports hall with an extensive range of equipment for both disabled and non-disabled visitors. The latest addition to the facilities is a large indoor multi-activity centre for recreation, leisure and entertainment.

In addition to the in house facilities on offer, the staff can if required coordinate a wide range of educational and recreational day trips including Alton Towers, Chester and the seaside which are all within a reasonable travelling distance.

For many of the visiting children it will be the first residential experience they have had and sadly, for some it may be the only residential experience they have. The Wingate Centre needs to raise over £300,000 each year to offer disabled and disadvantaged children a life enriching experience, so if you would like to help and make a donation please do so below.

Teddy and Soft Toy Appeal

Every child who visits the Centre is given a present of a soft toy, this helps them to settle on their first night away from home and for many of the children who do not have many toys it becomes very precious.

The Gymnastic Coaches at the Wingate Centre hold various classes and events for the general public on most days of the week, for more information please click here

The Wingate Centre is open all year round for weekend and week day residential stays.
