Very good Since we last visited 7 years ago, we can see that there has been a lot of good refurbishment to rooms and the spa area. Our stay was enjoyable and relaxing. The shower tray in our room needs some attention as it has a problem with drainage.

Pleasant with friendly staff. Nice location. Nice bar area. Staff exceptional. Paying a premium for the dog and being put in a ‘Dog room’ which is less convenient and comfortable as the hotel rooms. Having to go through 3 areas to get breakfast and take it to the allocate space to eat it. So two trips to get breakfast for two people as someone has to stay with dog.

Exceptional A warm reception always, reception very accomodating, restaurant is fabulous on a Sunday (room service great too) and the spa is Bolton's best kept secret Sometimes there's a wait for the phone to be answered when you dial down but staff are always attentive

For an all inclusive price you get a lot! Spa and breakfast included great price and lovely little chalet style room The spa photographer didn’t a great job and on our first night the water was cooler than it should have been in the pool which because it’s outside felt really cold (fixed the next day) the jacuzzi bubble vent had a leak so it was really loud and throwing cold air out when the bubbles were on and some of the therapy rooms weren’t open not enough to put us off staying again just an FYI for future guests

My wonderful missus booked this on wowcher as a nice surprise for us, it is less than an hour away from our house which was great , when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised and warmly greeted by a lovely receptionist who checked us in very quickly and with plenty of information, our room was good and very clean, we used the spa and swimming pool after booking our slots and we loved it , very relaxing and friendly environment, we ate a wonderful dinner in the courtyard restaurant after Rodery managed to squeeze us in like an absolute legend, we had such a laugh , Rodrey , Adam and our lovely smiley waitress little sarah couldn't do enough for us and the food was top notch, we even managed to sneak in a skittles shot after the meal, the bar area is cozy and relaxed , the grounds are beautiful and we will definitely be coming back again .

The property is situated amid a housing estate. It has a restaurant and bar. The spa was a reasonable size with a couple of steam rooms and saunas; however limited availability on weekends with reduced hours. Unfortunately our room had an odd odour which we beleved was coming from the carpet. The window was open to aerate the room but when shut, due to the low external temperature, the smell was unpleasant and the window had to be reopened. Our room had not been serviced on the Saturday (we left at 9 am and returned to the hotel at 7 pm). We rang housekeeping and reception but there was no reply. We visited Reception and we were asked what we required in the room - which at a minimum was clean towels and cups! We felt disappointed with the lack of service.

All in all it was a good stay nice staff It’s was perfect for the purpose of our trip to this area Some parts of the building was bit rundown sitting area next to reception had a copy wood burning stove but it did not work and fireplace was not blocked off so very cold draft made room cold.

Would not stay again In the middle of nowhere Staff could have replied to email requests rather than completely ignore relevant questions

Disappointed at check in. Had to stand at reception like a lemon while receptionist continued to chat with another staff member over the counter. Room lovely and warm on a cold evening although bathroom radiator didn’t work. I received an email to say we had a drink voucher. I asked at reception about it when we came down to eat. She told me it was with my room key, but clearly not and she could obviously see on the screen we had one. Maybe too interested in her chat when we checked in, or is it policy not to just give it and hope we don’t ask?
