We had a lovely time, the staff who did the spa treatments were fantastic and we would love to come back for more, but we were disgusted by the dirt above the water level on the tiles of the hot tub and jacuzzi, obviously a build up over a period of time.

I stayed here just for one night, I thought the staff were friendly and very helpful, Food was super & leisure centre was clean and a joy to visit, If there was one negitive it has to be the bed.. it was very hard. In all I was very happy with my stay and I will be back.

My experience: (positive) Very large room, good amenities, great restaurant, oversize towels. (negatives) moist smell in bathroom, bad heating, springy bed.

I have stayed here many times and have always received great service. The leisure facilities are excellent -with a good sized swimming pool, fully equipped gym, hydroponics pool and spa (all free to guests). The staff are great and the restaurant food is excellent quality (if slightly limited in range). Although I use this primarily for business, I have often taken my family there for a weekend and it is also suitable for a romantic break. It is set in lovely grounds and has its own tea rooms and pub (not always open) so is ideal for weddings etc. Best of all, because it is outside the main town, it seems to always be reasonably priced. The only down side is that sometimes the mobile signal can be a bit flaky on some networks -but they now have free wifi so there are alternative ways to keep in touch on the rare occasion there is no signal at all.

As always the hotel staff are excellent but the rooms are often a bit tired with threadbare curtains orbed linen. This stay was about what I'm used to with curtains in need of repair and cracks in ceiling but otherwise comfortable with a good gym at a good price. Breakfast service not the best compared to normal.

Almost identical to A Google User! I'm a wheelchair user who came for a wedding. My brother had two tots in a double buggy and found getting round the hotel complex challenging. Finding our way around in the dark after the wedding breakfast was very difficult. It was cold, wet and windy, there was little lighting and almost no signposts. Staff were friendly. Furniture was very worn in places.

Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Staff were all polite and courteous and all went that extra mile, Kevin on reception and mike in the Leisure complex particularly used their knowledge exceptionally well. The food was amazing and service excellent. I will definitely be returning

Charming hotel on the outside, staff are friendly but was greeted by a dripping ceiling in the foyer. Room was no more than OK. Furniture dated, bathroom mouldy with broken mirror, sealant on bath rotted away. Toilet stained. Disappointing. Food in a Restaurant was ok if a little pricey, but had to wait for a very long time to receive just the one course. Bill was only settled by me leaving my seat and walking over to waiter to tell them I was leaving.

requested twin room when booking. Had to draw attention to this on arrival as double room been allocated. Extreme creaking floorboards in the room allocated..

This used to be a great hotel.

Room I stayed in needed updating but it was comfortable. Food was good but the best bit about this hotel was the spa.

Ignore the bad reviews about this hotel, we found the staff extremely friendly and the hotel in good conditions. The swimming pool had heating problems but they were busy sorting this out. A great stay, thank you
