Antony Gormley's famous landmark sculpture of the Angel of the North stands 20 metres tall, has a wingspan of 54 metres (wider than a Boeing 757) and weighs more than 200 tonnes.
It was constructed in 1998 and can be seen clearly from the A1 North and South just a few miles outside of Newcastle.
