we went on a mystery bus weekend trip. we ended up staying the night here. we had not heard of this hotel group before and were duly impressed with all the hotel had to offer. it was spacious clean warm and had very welcoming staff. the food was excellent with a choice of meal. starters and puddings were served at the table and the rest self service. a great place to stay and if you wish a short walk, turn left and you will find a great pub that sells great alcohol free beer if wanted.lynn and tony parish

Hotel would benefit from from TLC and a refurb. Originally a Georgian manor house, extensions have been added over time and why planning permission was ever given will remain a mystery ?! The original building is lovely. Staff are lovely. The pool is also a lovely addition. The hotel really does have lots of potential but does need money spending on it. Average rating is a little harsh but it is not 'very good' - trip advisor rating has to be average or very good- nothing in between. I would say overall experience was good.

I stayed here recently and found the hotel staff friendly and helpful, good rooms and great facilities including pool and steam room which I always like in hotels. Good breakfast and all at a very affordable affordable rate.

Friendly and helpful reception and bar staff. A modern, spacious contemporary entrance. Bedroom and bathroom good sizes and very clean. Wardrobe old fashioned and seen better days. No issues when requesting more milk or glassware from the bar to use in our room. Only had a bar snack and that was fine. Not an expensive hotel and certainly worth the price. There is a gym and spa but we did not have the opportunity to seek them out let alone use them. Ample free parking. I would recommend this hotel as near to good road network. Pity there was a gala evening going full swing all night affecting my sleep but on the whole I would use this hotel again.

This hotel is next the bus station and within easy walking distance of the centre of Preston.
The hotel is very functional and lacks any character of interest. The rooms are well soundproofed so the location next to the bus station creates no noise problems.
The breakfast options are reasonable and include options for vegetarians.
My main problem with this hotel is that I did not get the 7am morning call which I had asked for at reception. For this reason I have given a low score for service.

Stayed here for 2 nights, lovely room, very clean & comfortable. Very centrally located. Not many parking spaces, had to park in the town centre streets on the Saturday night!
My only negative comment that was it was rememberence Sunday and being married to someone in the armed forces the 2 minute silcence was very important to me. While obseving this in my room the maid continued to hover and move furniture throughout this in the room next door.
However this would not put me off returning.

This is a perfectly fine Holiday Inn with reasonable rooms, restaurant, bar etc. The staff are friendly and the hotel is situated very close to the city centre.

I stayed on a Saturday night and there was quite a lot of noise coming from the corridors, particularly from people returning back from clubs at 2 or 3am and thinking it was fine to have a loud conversation outside my door. This is hardly the fault of the hotel though.

What really lets the hotel down is the parking facilities, or rather the lack of parking facilities. I arrived late evening at 11:30pm and found that the car park only had space for between 25 and 30 cars. All of the parking bays were full so I went into the hotel to ask where to park and was instructed to go to the bus station car park across the road. This is a very undesirable car park and not one that I would like to walk through again late at night.

If you were arriving in Preston on the bus, then this hotel would be fine, but if you're driving then look for an alternative. If you are looking for a stop off point on the M6, then go to the Holiday Inn Lancaster instead.

First the good points. The room was well appointed and spacious. Bathroom a good size and everything was spotless. Good housekeeping.
Bad points access to the hotel is very difficult and arking is very limited. If you don't get there early you have no chance so the only option is the 24 hr car park over the bus station opposite. Its not the best palce to leave your car but cheap. The quality of the food is what you expect for a holiday inn but quite expensive. I would suggest you eat at the bar. You get the same quality but at half the price.

Me and my partner stayed here for 2 nights for a short break. The rooms where nice and clean and very modern, the service was average from the front desk and our towels where not changed for clean ones. We decided to stay in for a meal with room service on our last night. We ordered our food which is not nice at all, it was like it had been pre-cooked and left on the side and then re-heated again. The next day I threw it all back up again, so I would not recommend to order food but we slept very well which I suppose is all that matters.
