Me and my family love this place, the icecream is absolutely delicious, the service is good even when it’s busy.
It can get very busy but the ice cream is worth the wait and there are also a few little animals to keep the children distracted whilst you wait.
I finally tried the burgers from their little smokehouse and can honestly say it’s the best burger I’ve ever had, freshly made infront of you, there were also 0 complaints from my fussy 7 year old.
Will definitely be a customer for life

Gorgeous ice cream however I would say i was disappointed in the choice, no strawberry or chocolate ice cream when full of children was unusual. It was half term so had expected the animals to be out as that was half of the reason we went but, all we could see were cows a long distance away so the kids were disappointed. Cages were empty and seemed like everything was closed. Waited 30 minutes for ice cream and had to sit on a dirty table to eat them. But lovely staff.

The ice cream here is gorgeous, much nicer than similar places. We love taking the grandchildren and we also take Tupperware containers to fill so we can have it at home. It’s nice to see the animals and the kids always say thank you to the cows when we are leaving.

Twice in one week we visited that is how good their ice cream is !! A great find just 10 mins from Bury centre. A great choice of ice creams and reasonable priced. Don't forget you fresh eggs they are very good

Visited her for slight lunch, panini, crisps and coffee. And followed it with the best ice cream ever!!! The venue is on a farm with cows. Outside seating only but it has a cover. Dog friendly. Worth a visit if only for the delicious ice cream

Introduced my visitors to Bury's not so hidden gem!
They were very impressed. Gorgeous ice cream at a very reasonable price.
My grandchildren were thrilled to see the cows goats and donkeys close up.

In December 2022, Corporal Cactus. said about Old Government House Hotel & Spa
Stayed for 4 nights in early December on a shopping sightseeing trip from the Mainland. Meals were excellent , even though drinks rather overpriced. All staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for you.
We had a Queen room which was well equipped but rather small. The bathroom had a separate shower which is always a plus but sadly no toiletries were near the bath, so if shampoo was needed whilst having a bath one had to get out and go to shower.
There was also a blue light in the bathroom which we never discovered how to turn it off, so it was always on even throughout the night.
Rooms over the function rooms can also be a little noisy at night.
Over all a good experience but, allowing non assist dogs in the main eating areas is a no no for me. Sorry.
