My whole family have stayed at this hotel on two occasions now. One occasion was hosted by the venue and we enjoyed a wonderful 3 course meal for 20+.
Our next visit was for B & B only and the service was as wonderful as the previous time.
My criticisms are that the hot breakfast takes quite a long time to arrive and there is a lack of bright light in the rooms - very necessary when applying make-up for a wedding!!
All in all though I'd say this is a lovely place to stay, very clean and tidy and worth the money.

My partner and I stayed here 24th and 25th December 2014 when visiting family for Xmas. Overall we both thought it very good.
The room was quite cosy - not huge not small. Bathroom was a tad on the small side but we didn't intend swinging a cat around so this was fine.
I found the bed too firm and the pillows rock hard, but they were preferred like that by my other half. Overall, we very much liked the room.
Breakfast was a very pleasant experience : full English was just the right amount portion wise, and tasty.
We would have no qualms in recommending the Red Hall for a quick break away.

My Husband and myself were married here in November! We could not have chose a better venue, the whole day was amazing and we have had some wonderful comments from our guests! The staff are excellent and so helpful I would highly recommend your special day here if you are looking for venues in the Lancashire area, we have been back many times and will continue to do so in the future! Although it was our wedding it certainly was the most organised and enjoyable wedding I have ever attended :)

We have recently held my sons wedding reception at the Red Hall. We had a great time. The hotel rooms are lovely as is the building which is quite new. Food was of a good quality. Breakfast menu was really good. I would recommend the 'full English'. Overall a very pleasant stay.
Thank you to all at the Red Hall

We booked this last minute with our friends as we didn't have sitters for the children. The booking process was simple and great service from all the staff we dealt with.

On the night we were greeted and the room was set up nicely, the kids were welcomed from the start and the staff were on hand for all of the guests.
Our food was fabulous too and the service superb! The Lamb and Fish was cooked to perfection and the kids really cleaned their plates too! Desserts were delicious too, could have been a bit bigger with the portions though!

The entertainment was great, the kids were shown majic tricks at the table (parents too) and then they had fun with the DJ on the dance floor allowing us to enjoy our drinks and desserts!

A thoroughly great night all round NYE Family event! We would do this again in the future and would also like to try one of the other events!

Thanks again for a great start to the New Year!

We booked two rooms for the New Years Eve event at the hotel and at £250 per couple, this proved to be excellent value for money.

In mid December, the hotel reception were extremely helpful, reserving four rooms for a week until we established the size of our party. As it was, we only needed the two rooms and we were very grateful for their help.

The exterior, reception, bar and restaurant all create a favourable impression being contemporary in design and very well presented and all areas of the hotel are clean and well maintained. The hotel is listed as three star but this may possibly be due to lack of amenities such as a pool/gym. I have definitely stayed in far worse three star hotels!

Anyone who has read any of my reviews will know that I am passionate about service. The service ethos at the Red Hall is excellent. Staff are smart, pleasant and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They were more than happy to supply an ice bucket and champagne glasses for our room so we could celebrate New Year via media with friends in Shanghai during the afternoon. It was in fact a pleasure to deal with the staff and there are many places that could learn from this hotel.

Overall, our room could not be faulted. We had room 25 on the first floor. This has pleasant views of the farmland to the rear of the hotel, was quiet and reasonably well equipped. Furnishings, linen and toiletries were of good quality with plenty of hanging space and coat hangers. Bathroom was functional and clean - just one negative, this being the drench shower which lacked oomph and trickled rather than drenched!

The festivities at £78 per head (within the £250 package) were well priced. A glass of bucks fizz with canapes at the pre dinner reception and then in to the dining room. Food was of a good standard and given the numbers being catered for served hot which has to be commended. All four of us chose the scallop starter. The scallops were beautifully cooked but were sadly overshadowed by piccalilli (too strong and overpowered the delicate scallop) and two large chunks of black pudding. Not the chefs finest creation. We also, all chose the beef for the main course. The main beef and vegetables were all well received, although the 'rag' pudding served with them divided opinion. I liked it, but it's possible the portion was too much given the other contents of the dish. We finished with chocolate tort which again received compliments. Coffee, mints and mince pies to follow rounded off what on the whole was a decent meal.

Following the meal, a disco provided the entertainment. Everyone was up and dancing early and this continued throughout the remainder of the evening. If there was any criticism, the dj may want to rethink his midnight presentation which I think fell a bit flat and his close at 1am, well it just arrived - a bit more pzazz would have helped and again left things feeling a little flat.

After a good nights sleep, we had a late checkout as part of the package, so wandered down for breakfast around 10am. There was no one on the breakfast reception and we had to wait around for 5 minutes or so. This was the one service disappointment of our stay. We were eventually seated in the lounge area and normal service resumed. Coffee arrived promptly with toast (bloomer bread - lovely!) and we were invited to choose from the buffet in the restaurant for fruit juice, cereals etc. the buffet had a reasonable selection and everything was lovely and fresh. Our order was also taken for the cooked breakfast. Top marks to the Red Hall, they serve cooked breakfasts to order. It simply has to save on waste and improve the customer experience so please don't change this! When it arrived, we were not disappointed, this has possibly to be one of the best presented, quality ingredient breakfasts I have had in a hotel. Superb!

In summary, we would thoroughly recommend the Red Hall - service and value are part of their DNA and long may this continue. An excellent local hotel.

My son was married at the hotel at the end of November 2014 and my husband and I stayed for 2 nights. Everything about our stay and my sons wedding was excellent, all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the meals were of a very high standard. In fact we enjoyed the experience so much, we booked for New Years Eve and we were not disappointed, we had a wonderful time. We will definitely be going to the Red Hall again and would like to say a big thank you to all the staff for making our stays so very enjoyable.

We are a group of approx 50 people that meet for a social event every year. After a few years of disappointing venues else where, I booked The Red Hall Hotel. The Peel Suite upstairs was the perfect size for our party group. The price per head for January was very reasonable which was one of the reasons that attracted us. There was a slight miss communication regarding the DJ....I had informed the lady when we paid for the venue that we would hire our own DJ (which she said was fine) and on the evening when we arrived the hotel had set up their own DJ....to be fair to the management, they made no fuss over this and the problem was quickly solved. The evening itself was a great success and everyone commented that they enjoyed their meals. People also commented that it was a nice set up having the bar area and dance floor in a separate room next to the dining area, this gave the people the option to sit and chat without being disturbed by the music in the bar area. Overall a very successful evening and we hope we have found a venue to return to year after year. Thank you!

Attended a wedding there and it was truly exceptional. The food was delicious, the drinks were well priced and excellent parking facilities. If you're coming to Bury or Ramsbottom - you can't go wrong.

We stayed here last weekend to attend a function in Manchester and can't recommend the Red Hall Hotel highly enough. The service was first class with friendly, professional staff, notably Stacey and Stephanie, for whom nothing was too much trouble, including lending my husband a pair of cufflinks because he had forgotten his.
On returning home, I realised I had left my phone and Kindle chargers in the bedroom. Stacey went above and beyond the call of duty in ensuring that these were taken to the post office and posted back to me as quickly as possible.
We have previously stayed in large chain hotels in the centre of Manchester. However, after staying at the Red Hall Hotel, we would not consider staying anywhere else in the future!
