I have a gym membership at the feelgood gym. After the gym I enjoy a coffee in the bar. Irene welcomes you like you like you're part of the family. She goes above and beyond in meeting your needs. The hotel are extremely lucky to have her representing them.

Fantastic stay as usual.

We travel up from South Wales regularly and we're are always greeted with a warm welcome on arrival by the staff.
The lounge/bar is a great place to chill and the bar staff are great too. Irene in particular is lovely - always welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.

Really look forward to our next stay..

A most amazing hotel.
We booked the Mercure Georgian House Hotel as the venue in which to hold our annual Scout Association Dinner Dance, celebrating the birthday of scouting founder Lord Robert Baden-Powell. From start to finish our experience was enjoyable, seamless and memorable in every way. The staff were friendly, professional and ever so obliging, nothing was too much trouble. Our event co-ordinator Rochelle, was with us throughoutA most amazing and ensured that the night was a total and memorable success. The food, drinks, rooms and location provided the perfect rendezvous.

Not much wrong with this hotel. I stayed on a 'rewards night' as I am a Gold member. Checkin was efficient and friendly.

Room was small but clean. Bed comfy but shower a bit lac lustre.

Breakfast had nice of selection, but when we arrived there was a 'fight' as staff member thought it was included and he had to call reception to get approved allowing us to enter.

Maybe it was time we arrived but there were no eggs, beans or hash browns out. They were replaced after 5 - 10 min but was a shame. Also had to track down someone to request coffee. Maybe just an off morning.

Finally on checkout I was presented a bill for over £100 even though room was booked through IHG website direct as a reward booking! A minor thing but it is this lack of detail that makes this hotel an average one.

I am a fan of the Holiday Inn brand. It's pretty reliable and always good value for money. Good sized bed, firm mattress and the traditional firm or soft pillows to choose from. The breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful regarding the limited amount of parking on site.

The hotel is clean, staff are lovely.
We stayed over for a Chritmas party night, which we enjoyed.
We waited in the bar area paying for our drinks, for 40 minutes longer than we were informed we would be. Once we were eventually seated, our drinks were free (included in the price of the ticket).
The service was extemely slow, so it was late when we eventually ate. A waiter handed out hot plates, asking if we were having turkey or pork, but we were given the same plates ???
The plates were cold by the time the food arrived. Food was ok.
