Clean but dated room. The hotel as a whole looked like it hadn't been decorated since the 80s. Massive big comfy bed and the pool area and Jacuzzi was a lovely added touch. Staff were very nice however didn't use the bar or restaurant as it seemed very over priced with little choice

Needs renovation, furniture looking run down. The chairs in the bar also looking old, bit dirty and nt so comfortable. Personal was professional and helpful.
Bed was very good, had a good night sleep.

This place has everything from the gym and swimming pool to a sports bar and restaurant. The gym and swimming pool was clean and tidy with is unusually in some hotels I've previously stayed in. The only one small criticism I do have is with the restaurant is how long it took me to get my food roughly about 20 minutes and there was only me in the room. However on a brighter note the rooms was fantastic the space and size was spot on. The bathroom could do with being updated a bit but nothing the matter with it. The wifi in the rooms runs smoothly and the car park at the rear is big enough to park. Would highly recommend on staying here.

I booked this hotel for an overnight stop whilst visiting the British Open Ladies Golf, at nearby Lytham St. Annes. The location was perfect, situated just off the motorway exit and only a fifteen minute drive from the golf. Having used Novotels previously I was aware that the brand catered well for families in the sense that all of the hotels have spacious family rooms.

Upon arrival my room was as booked with a bed made up for my daughter. The room was clean and tidy although the white melamine furniture synonymous with this hotel chain did look a little cheap. Additional pillows were delivered to the room within five minutes of my request to reception. Staff were courteous at all times.

The bar and restaurant area was pleasanty furnished with reasonably priced drinks. I did not use the restaurant so cannot comment on the quality of that or otherwise. There was an outdoor pool although I would have to question the benefit of that taking into account the climate in the North West of England most of the time. In my experience this is a good choice for business or leisure travellers requiring a short stop over, particularly if using the motorway network. It is also conveniently close to the coastal resorts in the Blackpool area. At the weekend room rate I paid of £40.00, very good value too.

The reception desk is very efficient and friendly.
Rooms are good standard and indeed comfortable with own minibar and good sized bathrooms which are in a good condition.
The service overall is very friendly and helpful.
Try out the restaurant which offers a good variety of dishes with good portions and great value for money.
Breakfast is fantastic and the atmosphere during breakfast and in the restaurant is really nice even if you travel on your own as a women. I would definitly recommend the hotel!
It is only 5-10 min walk to shops and pubs which is another plus.
A small gym is as well in the hotel for the ones who feel the urge for a work out.

Stayed here with work for 1 night and it was a breath of fresh air. No wait at reception, quick check-in and friendly staff. When I got to my room it was decorated very nicely with a modern feel and was spotlessly clean. The meal was very reasonable and delicious. Can't fault anything.

This was the second time I have stayed at this hotel, and both times I have found the facilities to be better than average, and the staff are excellent. Nothing was too much trouble.

I did not eat in the restaurant, but I did order a burger from room service. The food was very good, and it was delivered in a timely fashion.

The bar and restaurant are better than average, in terms of decor. Some of the comunal areas (the corridors) could use a lick of paint, but the room was very well decorated. The bathroom was compact, but it still had a bath, and a very nice sink and toilet. The shower was very good indeed.

All in all, a very pleasant stay. Exceptional value for money.

We booked here as a last minute stop over for the weekend and I was pleasantly surprised.
It's a big hotel and has very polite staff.
Our room was spacious and had everything you needed. The bathroom wasn't the best but everyone has an issue with the stained lino flooring which has discoloured around the toilet. I didn't let this bother me as the facilities are good. I enjoyed a deep hot bath throughout my stay and had no issue with hot water (unlike the last review).
The bed was huge and I can honestly say I have never ever slept so well in all my life. I think it was a combination of quality firm supported pillows, large firm bed, soft covers and black out curtains.
When I eventually woke up in the morning I felt like I had been drugged as I just had such deep sleeps on both nights......it seriously was good!
Pool facilties are OK but need updating. Plus no staff around to get towels so we just helped ourselves behind the counter to get some.
We didn't use the restaurant as there is a good selection of branded restaurants at the massive retail park locally.
Loads of car parking.
Main negative is hearing people's doors banging around on all levels but I always arm myself with ear plugs.

Overall it was a nice stay and great value for a 2nights weekend stop over.

On arrival we found the room to be pleasant and sufficient for our stay.
Staff were friendly and polite.
Our radiator wasn't working but after telephoning reception, to make them aware, they fixed it for us.
Breakfast was lovely with a good selection. The swimming pool was great and a good temperature for my 2 year old.
The only thing I could fault was be the price of the drinks in the bar but being in a hotel its to be expected.
When we were half way home to Devon, the receptionist telephoned to tell us that I had left my iPad in the room...how honest, don't get a lot of that nowadays!!
I called back and after they found out how much the postage was, I paid with my debit card and it was posted to me the next day. Super!
What some people need to realise is, if things don't work or aren't how you wish to find them, you need to tell the staff as they don't use the rooms like we do so are not always aware of the problems. If it can be fixed or solved then there's nothing to complain about.
Would definitely stay again!!
