This chippy has been in the heart of Bolton for decades. The reason being is the staff are wonderful the food is Amazing!!! and very clean. Piping hot and so fresh you can almost taste the sea. My 12yr old son and I love it. I defy anyone to find better in Bolton.

12 of us Went at lunch time and I had a lovely cod and chips, service was quick especially so many of us to be served. Nice to have music whilst we ate. Nice cup of tea to wash it down.

Called for tea one evening after hearing about this place from others and it is just about as good a fish and chip restaurant as you will ever visit. Top quality food and service. Bolton should be proud of this place, quite exceptional!

Went to the Olympus as previous experiences have been good. On this occassion we were not impressed, we were seated quite quickly and placed our order, then the meal took nearly 30 minutes. It was served up after we asked a waitress where our meals were.

Went as a family party. The food is delicious and high quality. The portions aren't massive, the normal sized cod and haddock and chips are both similar to a smaller portion elsewhere BUT.... the standard was better. Some of the best haddock I've had away from the coast. I would go again but would order the mega portion I think, and accept it wouldn't be the budget option. Whatever tea they serve as part of the fish and chip meal is also delicious.
Enjoyed the atmosphere, they had a pianist which was a nice surprise on a weekday lunchtime. It had quite a pensioner vibe but equally, I'm young and I liked it. I think it would probably particularly suit over 70s.
The quality of the ice cream was also very good. It was I think £1.90 for a one scoop cone and £2.50 for a one scoop tub but again, good stuff. You only needed one scoop because it was rich.
You can certainly get a fish and chip lunch for cheaper in Bolton centre and it'll be fine, but this is more of a quality product.

Excellent hospitality - Great Ambiance - Great fish and chips! Best service in town!!! Visited for lunch and had cod fish and chips - normal - large and extra large portions!!!! The owners are Cypriots and being Cypriots from the same city we were welcomed with even bigger arms!!!! Keep it up guys !

My wife and I use Olympus about once a month, for a nice simple meal out. It is easy to find, although it can be very busy at lunch time. Not a bad thing as it proves not only how popular it is, but that people return to use it often.
The staff are very polite and attentive. The menu is varied, although is Fish & Chips orientated. It has a lovely ambiance, especially if there is a piano player there. To have such nice live music is far better than the 'piped muzak' you get at many restaurants, cafes and even some tea shops.
The food is always cooked well and served hot. At least that has been my experience.

An unusual venue for a hip-hop / jazz concert by the "Gelatos", a trio offshoot from the Clitheroe based "Swing Commanders". A fantastic array if Italian ices plus a hot pasty.

Haven't been for ages since we thought our order had been mixed up but didn't complain at the time which I realised later we should have done!. We were in Bolton to visit the museum do decided to pop into the Olympus as my nephew was hungry. We were advised by a staff member than there was a problem so only cash payments were accepted that day which was fine with us. Some people popped out to banks , I had to let my sister pay for our meal as I only had my card on me. We had a choice of tables and chose the window one, my nephew had his usual children's meal, chicken nuggets but there other options for them, it comes with a choice of drinks but we didn't see the free gift, I think that was applicable when the meals came in a box?, Either way, he never noticed ha ha My sister had a jacket potato with tuna and mayo, said it was delicious. I had pudding and chips, not had that for years!!!!!! Loved it! Saw staff members we recognised from previous visits, always a good sign. Toilets are spotless as always, staff friendly and efficient, no wonder people were queuing to come in! Plenty of choice on the menu to suit everyone, we will be coming again soon!
