Love this hotel went twice last year in a space of a couple of months food and all staff lovely only downside is if you have noisy guests staying above you who only care about themselves

This was perhaps one of the strangest places I've stayed at. Basically a tailor made, mock village. Very sweet.

However, there's a lot that could be improved.

The room was boiling hot, even when I opened windows and turned off the radiator. Given that it was about 4 degrees outside I've got no idea how the inside got to be sauna temperature.
Poor room amenities. No hairdryer, moisturiser or conditioner. I tend not to pack too much as most places offer these things.
The swimming pool changing rooms are badly in need of renovation.
The pool was freezing cold and dark - barely lit. The towel had a weird smell. The outside hot pool was lovely however.

The food in the he restaurant wasn't great. The pizza base was as thin as a wrap.

There's two ways onto the main road where the hotel is. One had the largest pot holes I've ever seen. I'm surprised my car wasn't badly damaged to be honest. Then severe speed bumps. I exited the other way and that was fine. When I mentioned it at check in, the receptionist grunted and was dismissive.

Overall, for the reasonable price it was ok but definite improvements could be made. I can't imagine it was would be hugely costly to make tweaks and then more could be charged anyway.

Its a nicely situated hotel sitting in lovely grounds with a large car park. No complaints at all regarding the room or the service. We stayed just 2 nights. Beds were comfortable, room was clean and well maintained. Staff were excellent. Thankyou. Just wanted to mention one or two things regarding the Spa. It should be a nice experience and we were looking forwards to having a swim, steam and sauna. Alas it was not to be I'm afraid. The actual place is well laid out with changing facilities, a pool, beds and the Thermal suite of Saunas, Steam, Aromatherapy and Salt rooms surrounding a Hot Jacuzzi pool which has a semi outside feel with Infinity effect. Sounds good. In truth however it really needs a good cleaning regime putting in place. The windows (mainly dividing windows) are grubby and very obviously not cleaned regularly. The glass doors into each room are the same. Of the 5 rooms only the Steam room is lighted tho lights do exist in each.. the bulbs going and not replaced. Why? Did they all go at once?
The temperature of the main pool is quite chilly and certainly doesn't draw you in to swim. On day 1 the Thermal Jacuzzi pool was pretty uninspiring temperature wise yet on Day 2 it was great. The difference was quite marked. Why?. Someone says it's Time of Year that comes into play temperature wise. It was quite cold outside but surely it's part of the allure of the place and should be controlled as such. Lastly...the changing facilities. Though a little outdated the single comment I can make follows a familiar path...Cleanliness. Used towels on the floor, used plastic bottles cast aside, and tbh the place would benefit from steam cleaning followed by, again, regular effective housekeeping. I strikes me that it's a Super facility which is being badly let down by poor attention to detail. We booked on a good deal and too many things seemed avoidably Hit n Miss.
In short. I can imagine if cleaned and maintained the place will be so much better and therefore more of an enjoyable option for a short break. We came to visit friends and its more than likely we'll return to Last Drop. I truly hope they listen. I'll follow up.

This is by far my favourite spa treatment place in the area. Once up on the treatment floor you start the relaxation. No noisy gym or spa or towel dryers as I have experienced in other places. Noted on this visit it looked a little odd with the empty display cabinets but I believe they might be changing over products so completely understandable. Special mention is Ria who does an excellent deep massage and this time also tailored my time to fit in a mini facial. When you phone up you can ask for your preferred technician so no surprises who I will be asking for next time. Also great team on the front desk who helped with the booking and also kept my spot open when I was running late. I am a also a fan of Espa products, which is how I first discovered this place.

I was gifted a one night stay at the Last Village. The spa facilities and the ESPA treatment I had were good . My room was spacious and modern and the evening meal at the Clock Tower, using the £30 dinner allowance, was well cooked and tasty. The issues I had with the hotel were, firstly, a £10 voucher to spend at the hotel is provided per room at check in. I used mine for a glass of wine with dinner. I asked the staff in the restaurant how the voucher was redeemed and they said it would be sorted at check out the next morning. However, when I got back to my room after the meal, within 10 minutes a woman from the restaurant rang me asking whether I'd paid for the wine with my meal. I explained what I'd been told about the process, which seemed to have been accepted. However, 10 minutes later a man from the restaurant rang me haranguing me again about the glass of wine. I repeated the advice I had been given - by the Maitre'D in the restaurant - but it felt very much like I was being accused of avoiding paying £8.50 for a glass of wine. It was an unpleasant experience that spoiled my evening. Secondly, breakfast - both on the information sheet on the dressing table in the room (under glass) - and on the website - is advertised as 06.30 - 10.30. I arrived for breakfast at 09.50 and was told by reception staff that the "last sitting' was 09.45. The woman at reception was adamant the sheet in the rooms says you have to book and that the last sitting is 09.45 - but that is incorrect. I collected my things and returned to reception to check out and fed the facts back to the woman at reception who just said sorry, I'll pass that on. Hence, I got no breakfast. To think it's ok to acknowledge the hotel information is inaccurate yet not offer to let me - one person - have the breakfast paid for, on top of the calls hounding me about a single glass of wine that I had followed their procedures on, marred the experience. The staff need better training and internal communication to ensure they are all aware of, and understand, the hotel's policies. The woman at reception, in acknowledging what I fed back about the information, should have confirmed it with management. Instead I left the hotel hungry, before 10.30am, while breakfast was still being served. That is incredibly poor and it would deter me from staying again. Be warned people.

Got given our room at 2-20, had to wait 20 minutes in reception till the room was ready. We have been here before but this time On getting to the room was shocked it hadn't been cleaned.. dirty towels in the shower, overflowing rubbish bin, floor hadn't been hoovered and used cups and glasses left, complained and got upgraded which meant lugging luggage again to another room which was being finished cleaning, offered a £10 voucher, overall it hasn't put us off returning as we enjoyed the spa and pool

Stayed on a 'Revive 50' spa break in an 'Executive' room with inclusive Treatments, Dinner and Breakfast. The hotel has adequate car parking. Surprised at the proximity of the new housing development, constructed since our previous stay, which impacts the rural view and privacy in the hydrotherapy pool. Staff experience very good, throughout the hotel, helpful and professional. Enjoyed the spa treatments and facilities. The hydrotherapy pool area requires some maintenance, to include repair of loose and missing tiles. Male changing room lockers are awful, require chunky padlocks, not good for comfort and swimming practicality, some lockers have stiff catches, caused injury to thumb. Delicious food and excellent service experienced in the restaurant, also enjoyed a good breakfast. Bedroom lighting and room ambiance could be enhanced with a desk lamp and standard lamp. Comfortable large bed and pillows. Excellent shower pressure. Comfortable and pleasant lounge areas in the main building. Also visited The Drop Inn and enjoyed a walk around the site, also previously visited numerous times over the years.

After a slightly upsetting experience on my first visit, I decided to return to Last Drop Village in Bolton — and I am so glad I did.

From the moment I arrived, everything was absolutely perfect. I was given a beautiful room exactly as I’d hoped for — lovely and warm, right next to the spa, and with a big comfortable bed all to myself. It was just what I needed.

Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choice, and we enjoyed dinner in the Last Drop Inn — I had the cheeseburger, and the pie with mashed potato and vegetables was absolutely lovely too. Everything was fresh, hot and really enjoyable.

I visited the spa twice during my stay and it was so relaxing — peaceful, calming and just perfect for unwinding.

From check-in to check-out, everything went smoothly and the whole experience completely turned things around for me. Thank you so much to all the staff for making my return visit such a positive and enjoyable one. I will definitely be back!
