Handy for business.
It felt a bit soulless. Very annoying online ordering system for food which wouldn't work for me. Staff were very helpful taking my "Face to face" order in the end.

Would stay again!
Food in the restaurant was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Beds were comfy. Room was really nice and clean. Spa pool was lovely and warm and rest of the spa was really nice
Room service food was cold and expensive for what you got. Spa was very overcrowded.

Lovely atmosphere, I liked the little village area and spa, good choice for breakfast, staff were friendly.
Took over an hour for a pizza. Pillows were hard, but that's a personal thing as a side sleeper.

Gorgeous old buildings.
It was raining really heavily and not all area are covered. I got wet going from one area to another. If it hadn’t have been raining, that would have been fine.

A very pleasant and comfortable overnight stay.
The surroundings were very relaxing, and the room was cosy and comfortable. Staff were all courteous and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal in the Courtyard restaurant.

Staff and dinner was nice
The breakfast is overpriced especially for someone who doesnt like full english. The plates were too small for my toasts. For £14.95 a hot tea really shouldn’t be charged.

Spa was absolutely perfect after a long day out on business x
I really enjoyed the use of the spa facilities, the restaurants available on site offered a fantastic range of options and the onsite steak restaurant was superb. The prices were very good.
The rooms are very dated, and the carpets are in need of a clean round by door. The cleaner missed all round the edges of the bathroom so when seated on the toilet you were presented with an array of hairs...

Mixed feelings
The young waiting staff were friendly, rooms were comfortable and clean. The spa staff were very helpful.
The older serving staff were less obliging. The room rate was a little on the expensive side as decor needed updating including the corridors. The white wine served at dinner was on the warm side, and some more training/practice on cocktail making is needed.

A wonderful hidden gem of a stay.
I would love to keep this a secret so it doesnt become too popular, but everything was fantastic. Staff, facilities, lay out, the quaintness of it all. Wonderful hidden gem.
