Bed was very comfortable, very spacious room, staff were all very helpful especially Rosie on reception. I had a treatment by Leanne who was lovely she gave me lots of tips on skincare. I'm very relaxed after having a 2 night stay. 100% recommended, food at the drop in was amazing too

Stayed for one night on the NHS Thank You rate, paying £129 in total for a “classic” double room, with bed, breakfast and evening meal, plus off peak access to the spa included.

The hotel was very nice and we found our room to be clean and comfortable, fitted with a fairly new looking bathroom. There are a number of shops on site although these were closed, presumably as it was a bank holiday. The site is located amidst some nice countryside, with Jumbles Country Park and Turton Tower nearby, which we enjoyed exploring - the website has a map showing local walks.

Our room rate gave us access to the spa after 19:00 and before 13:00, however we were disappointed to learn on arrival that, due to the August bank holiday, the spa would be closing at 20:00. This was the main disappointment of our stay and it is not made clear on the website, nor is any reduced rate offered to reflect the fact that we essentially missed out on 2 hours of spa access (normal closing time is 22:00) on day 1. An alternative option might be to allow guests to access the spa earlier than usual on days when it will be closing early. Luckily we were able to change our evening meal booking to a later time, so that we could use the spa from 19:00-20:00.

The spa was quite nice, containing a couple of saunas, steam rooms and aromatherapy room, plus a hydrotherapy pool. Sadly things were winding down when we went in on Monday as the saunas were not as hot as they were the following morning (presumably they were in the process of shutting down for the night). I particularly enjoyed the hydrotherapy pool, however it was a shame that they have built a housing estate right in front of it, which now fills what I’m sure was once a lovely view. We found the facilities a little basic and dated; I’ll admit I’ve seen better spas, but for what we paid I’d say it was excellent.

We had tea and breakfast in the Courtyard Restaurant - both meals were very nice and I would look forward to going again. We enjoyed the atmosphere in the Courtyard Bar, although the Drop Inn looked fairly quiet and so we decided to give that one a miss.

The bed in our room was very comfy, and overall we slept pretty well. However for some unknown reason the room got really hot as we slept and this wasn’t pleasant when I woke up in the middle of the night. Floorboards were a bit creeky, so I was able to hear movement from the room above, however this was not a major issue.

Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay and would come back again! While there were a few niggles, and some of the facilities are somewhat dated, I would say that the value for money is excellent and I look forward to a future trip.

As much as I would write, would not give it fairness, one of the most under rated places in the UK. Very nice and spacious rooms, Spa has 5 therapy rooms, amazing customer service. The therapists are next level. Definitely a wonderful place to spend a weekend.

Accommodation was clean, comfortable and peaceful. Reception staff friendly and helpful.
Waiting-on staff in restaurants lacked enthusiasm and seemed merely to be going through the motions. I felt rather overlooked which was not nice when I was dining alone. Food was good and reasonably priced.

The staff are wonderful, the location is beautiful.

The spa and the pool were excellent. The breakfast is to die for.

It's a bit pricy if you're only 1 person but I suppose it is worth the money! Cannot complain

The hotel is nice enough. The staff are nice. Rooms are OK, some very dated.
We didn't have the best experience but don't let this review put you off. I think we just expected much more than what we got.

We wanted a special place for a special occasion and the Last Drop gave us that throughout our 3 day stay. Location and facilities were great, the food was well presented as well as delicious. Given all that was going on at the hotel the catering staff ensured that the special diet requirements of one of our party were dealt with on an individual basis. All in all a wonderful visit.

The room was distinctly average, no air con, which meant you had to have the windows open. Which then opens you up to hearing people arguing and shouting for ‘Nathan’ the love rat to come out of hiding. Whilst the hotel can’t help people shouting at all hours, had the room had air conditioning, we could have closed the windows on a. Wry warm evening/night.

We stayed in a deluxe family room which was spacious but it was quite dated. We had an issue with our room as it extremely smelt unpleasant but issue was resolved quickly. Spa was fantastic and restaurant service and food was also excellent.

Room, Spa facilities, massage treatment were lovely. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, delicious. Location of last drop village is fabulous, beautiful views and also lovely little craft shops. Also had a drink in the Drop Inn pub, great space, service.
Wouldn’t hesitate to book a nice little break here again.
