Start the season of goodwill at a weekend of festivities across Lichfield City on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 December Lichfield District Council’s tourism team, Visit Lichfield, is inviting everyone to Lichfield’s Christmas Festival this December.

Donate a new toy for the Lichfield Cathedral 2012 Toy Appeal on 9 December and help the Pathway Project support victims of domestic abuse this Christmas.
Lichfield Cathedral will be opening its door this week for the very first Christmas Tree Festival, which will include over 40 trees decorated by a lively mix of local community groups, schools, charities and businesses. The Festival will also include a colourful display of nativity scenes and cribs from around the world, plus free Christmas floral demonstrations all in the glorious surroundings of Lichfield Cathedral. Entrance to the Festival is free and visitors to Lichfield for the Christmas lights switch-on, are especially encouraged to attend, as the cathedral will be staying open late.
Walton on the Hill-based Vision Vauxhall is getting all revved up for Children in Need and a brand new vehicle launch, taking place between 16-19 November. The leading local car retailer will, for the first time, unveil the all-new Vauxhall Mokka sports utility vehicle (SUV) during its Big Event weekend, and at the same time has committed to an altogether ‘top gear’ donation of £25 for every new car sold during Friday 16 and Monday 19 November.
