Hestercombe Gardens is beautiful, there is a cafe located in what were the stables, the food, whilst a bit overpriced was lovely. The restaurant in the house gets busy so getting a table may not be possible. The house was a bit disappointing, only 2 rooms and not furnished, upstairs was an exhibition, not to our taste. The gardens are what makes this a must visit, just beautiful.

Lovely gardens and history from the house itself. Particularly nice in summer too. Dog friendly and a great place to take the family out on a free day.

I’ve been here many times and it’s a really nice walk. Lots to see with the lake, waterfalls and random buildings which are scattered on the grounds. The staff are super friendly and it has a really nice coffee shop. They also do a Christmas market in December which was nice! Great way to spend a few hours and only a short drive from Taunton. Been many times and will go again

I love this place so much that I got bought a membership for my birthday! It's so beautiful, great for all seasons, and fantastic to explore all round the place. I've been with my niece and nephew and they just loved all the little nooks and crannies and different paths that can be taken round the gardens. It's a nice, relaxed, and great value activity. Plus, the second hand bookshop always has some cracker finds!

A superb house and garden which is like a history of gardens with something from each era. ANd a superb cafe with a selection of superb meal options.

Beautiful gardens to take your dogs and walk for a few hours and finish your walk with a coffee or snack in the cafe. Worth a visit

Hestercombe gardens is a beautiful walking area, with much wild flowers and trees, and lovely laid out gardens. It is much bigger than it first appears to be. Only criticism is that it is not very handicapped friendly as some of the gates do not fit with scooters etc.

Firstly I would advise to book tickets for this place online as you can save 10% and you only have to keep note of a booking reference.
This place is beautiful and peaceful to walk around. Loads of history to learn as you walk around and the scenery is beautiful.

Great place to visit ideal for the kids to let of steam. Was using my own mobility scooter but found it hard getting around as very bumpy, apparently they do offer a all terrain scooter to hire but only get for 2 hours, but on saying this had I not had disability it would be a lovely place to walk around and you can take your dog.

Our visit in mid February was during an unusually warm spell, it was also half-term week so the cafe in particular was very busy. Once away from the house, and into the grounds, we found peace, and also plenty of snowdrops, and early daffodils. We also enjoyed decent coffee and good gluten free cake in the Stables kitchen cafe. The art exhibition in the main house was a bonus, though not all to our taste. At 2 for 1 with our Gardeners World voucher it was good value for money.
