Visited in October 25. The formal gardens are beautiful and the estate grounds around are magical with lots of garden houses to sit and enjoy the stunning views. The house is full of history and there is a great second hand book shop and cafe. We had lunch, the food was delicious and the coffee the best I've come across.

Visited several times, each time we go we see more than before. Great time to visit as it's "pay what you can, in Jan" for an extrance fee. Drinks were a little expensive in the cafe but over lovely place. Highly recommended.

I loved my Camembert
but they used to have vegan sandwiches that were really overpriced I think if you missed lunch they were the only option near the gift shop
try and find the witches hut!

We had a delicious lunch at The Stablesrestaurant, then a walk, and then came back for afternoon tea. All served with a smile in very pleasant surroundings.

A lovely sunny spring day with the daffodils all out. A quality lunch at the cafe (sit and order) followed by a 3 hour walk around the gardens. Not sure what to expect but it was wonderful.
Paths tricky if you have mobility issues but plenty of short walks around formal gardens and lower ponds.
Only time for a quick house visit but very informative anฬd simple.

Interesting house and garden with several lakes and quite extensive paths. Some a bit steep or rough for a mobility scooter or the Tramper scooter we hired.
