Each week, we’ll focus on a different exhibitions that can be seen in London, covering an eclectic range of styles, cultures, time periods and artistic forms. Together we’ll interpret and decipher key works and curatorial perspectives, helping students to develop knowledge and a critical approach. Time will be spent looking at the broader context of each exhibition, and expanding on the themes explored. All sorts of artists have been drawn to the village of Ditchling over the years and it includes work from famous sculptors, engravers, type designers, painters and many other types of artists. The calligrapher Edward Johnston has work displayed here; you may recognise some of his work in the form of the typeface used on the London Underground.
