Santa will be touring the streets of Henley-on-Thames and Shiplake next month - with a little help from the Henley Round Table charity.
Once again we can thank the Scouts and Guides of Abingdon for a great service for Christmas card delivery, with all proceeds to charity.
Music students from The Henley College are set to feature in a special concert at the town’s Kenton Theatre on 23 January 2014.
Radio presenter Mike Read is hosting a special one-night-only fundraising evening at the Kenton Theatre, on Sunday 13 October. The proceeds from the event will benefit two Henley charities – the Kenton for Keeps Campaign and The Chiltern Centre for Disabled Children.
The World Poohsticks Championship has been voted Britain’s Favourite Quirky Event! Held at Days Lock, Little Wittenham each year it now celebrates its 30th year and the re-scheduled competition will be held on Sunday 13th October 2013.
Abingdon Dementia Action Alliance has been set up voluntarily to form a Dementia Friendly Community to help raise awareness, improve understanding and give people suffering from Dementia a better quality of life.
An extra special night of entertainment, treats and delights will be held at Bix Manor on Midsummer’s night – 21 June – to raise funds for Sue Ryder Nettlebed Hospice. The event called 'A Summer Delight' is organised by Karen Hilton, 51, whose partner Robin Samson was cared for at the hospice before his death from cancer in July last year at the age of 54.

Sue Ryder celebrates its 60th anniversary this year and to celebrate we are offering people the chance to sponsor a maple, beech or hornbeam tree at the Sue Ryder Henley Woodland for £120.
