I have had a full dentures and the procedure was very good going through letting me try them when they were made in wax which did feel quite good but once the dentures were finished they felt very narrow in my mouth and kept pinching my tongue. I feel like I can’t return as it’s just too late to change this problem. Compared to my old dentures there is a big difference in the space across. I’m also having trouble with the bite I have been back for this problem once and the way they used a grinding tool left the denture very rough which I polished out when I got home. I do worry that if the hard point of the denture are ground away then they wear quicker and to avoid this I have just put up with the way they are but the way the bite is at the moment makes the top denture drop at the back which makes them not secure when eating. The staff at Synergy are all very friendly and helpful and I feel it’s my problem for not realising that they were not correct at the time of fitting. I did decide to go and tell them of the problems that I was experiencing and they are making me a new dentures I’m so pleased with the great staff and service I received with synergy Adlington I would highly recommend using them.
The second set of dentures has been finished. I was quite pleased when I first tried them in. They were wider and felt a lot better only the top seemed a little prominent, The bottom set seemed too high and close in my mouth which I did say when I was having them fitted. The denture flange, which was pressing on the side of my inside jawbone, caused excruciating pain after a short time of having them in it was so bad that I had to remove them and go back to my old dentures. I returned to explain the problem, and they used a burr bit that removed some of the pressure. I put them back in, and off I went. Within a short period, I attempted to eat, but the pressure on the same spot was too severe to use the bottom set. I decided to see if I could adjust it myself. So, the only thing to do was to take the denture flange up to just above the inside jawbone. When I did this, I was very surprised to discover that the denture base was not even in touch with my gum, making me think that the impression that was taken was not correct. The bottom denture was very unstable. I got a product to do a re-line, but the way it felt was like there was a gap between the denture and my gums. The re-line filled in the void and made the denture secure. I made another appointment to return to show my findings, and the dentist decision was to remove the re-line I had done and to do a soft re-line in the lab. I went back to collect the denture and was asked to go into the bathroom to try it in. I did this, and it did feel like it fits a lot better, but the only problem was that the denture flange was still short, leaving what feels like a void that runs from the front to the back on one side the reline material seems very soft and not happy with the finish also still did not feel correctly in my mouth the bottom denture has been made to high and to close it feels like a wall so my tongue is against it all the time. The price I paid for this service makes me feel very disappointing with the end result.
