Lovely place and VERY helpful staff!
I spent a lot of time on the phone with the staff to organise a disabled room, accessibility extras and hoist use. I've never known people go so above and beyond to help, so thorough and so kind.
Spa was lovely, really reliable hoist too. Driving distance from restaurants and shops. Pretty courtyard too. I must stress the help from staff was impeccable, however, in our accessible room, there was a step to enter the room, heavy doors that if you stayed by yourself, you'd struggle with, the wheelchair didn't fit through any of the doorways (luckily we had crutches to use.)
There was also only one hand rail by the toilet and nothing on the other side. A step to get into the shower too.

Always have a fab time when we stay
Loved the hitel had a fabulous time.its a shame the last drop pub did not meet my expectations .we ordered food .waited long time .and came out to us cold .gravy pots missing .no knife and forks put on table .the food was cold had to send it back
And wen it came back out to us was only Luke warm. I would not eat in there again .very bad The food .in last drop pub could be better .they probably don't cater for a busy nite .they can't handle yhr pressure. And not enough staff .but breakfast is fab 5**

The food was delicious, and we enjoyed the shops, and the staff were lovely and helpful in the hotel and the hotel itself was lovely.only downside was cottage room didn't look like the pictures in brochure but it was still a nice room
The spa village so I was asked to book to avoid disappointment so I did, yet when I went they were letting people just go through who haven't booked and it was packed I didn't even get to go in thermal suite just the swimming pool, my daughter is 16 in one day and they said she couldn't go in thermal suite which was far I understand but the man behind the counter said in a sarcastic comment you've booked to early, I booked while she was off.

Enjoyable and next time will book the spa!
The restaurant and reception staff were all highly professional and helpful - especially the restaurant staff - the young blonde man and the slightly older man who served us were great - efficient, helpful and responsive to our needs (I’m a fussy eater)
A smoke alarm went off during the night - at about 1am … there was then some other sort of noise at about 7.30ish

Okay for a one night stay.
The staff were polite, helpful and friendly, especially at Reception. The location was great for us and there was loads of parking available.
The room and the corridor to the room were tired looking and require updating. For the price, we thought we should have had a little more of a luxury feeling.
The cooked breakfast was only luke warm and served on a cold plate. However, it was delicious.

Tired and grubby in places
Bar staff were polite and helpful
Some of the public areas were jaded and in need of a refresh. The worst aspect was our bedroom. Carpet was worn and stained. Curtain stained. One bedside table has not been wiped with water rings orsomething similar. No tea bags with the kettle and reception could only offer herbal infusions. I expected better.

convenient but the place is tired
being up on the moors. there is a spa, gym and dogs allowed
arrived late and informed them through booking.com but no response. All comms is automated. We had to call to say arriving late and informed front of house. We got in to our room at 10pm and it smelled of an ash tray. A member of staff visited and agreed and said we would be contacted in the morning from the duty manager. Again no comms received as a follow up. We spoke to them on check out. 50gbp was refunded for having a dog. The hotel is tired. Lots of basic diy touches up, stained carpets, gear in the gym is tired. Don't understand the shops on site. Of no benefit.

Comfortable while meeting all our family needs for a relaxing stay - especially the hot tub
Very attractive location in its own little world of charm and scenery. Amenities were first class including the spa, hotel dining and cute shopping options. Loved the varied choice of dining and entertainment
Beds were OK but some restless sleeping mainly due to the pillow choices.
