Beautiful historic building. It looks a little tired inside but refurbishments are fixing those issues. The pool and spa are definitely worth a go. They are currently waiving the £10/day parking fee if you are a guest. (Not sure I understand why a guest would be charged anyway.....). Close to the M65.

Not a great deal to chose from on dinner menu ...not great service either. Thought expensive for what we got - £32 for a bottle of prosecco that wasn't cold and I swear you could have got for £20 elsewhere...

Have stayed here a few times over the years and always enjoyed my stay. Rooms are clean & fresh and the beds are very comfortable. Stayed there just over a week ago and the only negative is the dinner menu was greatly reduced with few options hence the 4 stars but the breakfasts are absolutely fantastic. Looking forward to staying there again.
