Can only say about our room which was not upgraded - clean and tidy - had tea/coffee makings - iron etc. Had bath and shower but the glass shower screen did not stop the water going on the floor so had to use a towel to stop this. The whole place could do with a bit of tlc but the hotel was so comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful, if you have the breakfast it is very good, you can have a full English breakfast, continental etc. The spa we did not use but if anything like the hotel it would be very good as well. All in all a very nice place to stay good, location good for visitors walks, shopping etc. I would recommend this hotel

The Pendleton Suite was simply magnificent for a wedding. The grounds and views were also ideal. The food was good too. As were the happy couple. Congrats Mr & Mrs Bob!

Staff are amazing and so is the building. However, food was pretty dire (very dry, clearly reheated chicken breast) room looks a bit tired, although the bathroom doesn't? Also, ethernet connection for high speed internet, in every room? Surely that money could've been spent else where seems as the Wi-Fi is already pretty decent!
