I was at a wedding at the Red Hall Hotel a couple of weekends ago. What looks like a fairly unassuming venue on the outside is beautifully decorated on the inside. The restaurant/bar area is small but amble and the function suite looked lovely decorated for the wedding. Drinks were fairly priced and the food was good for the wedding breakfast. It did take them a while to bring out the mains but it was worth waiting for as the chicken was moist and the vegetables well cooked. One of the best wedding breakfasts I've had in terms of sit down, 3 course affairs. It was also nice to have a choice as many hotels now only have one choice of main, Red Hall provided a choice of starters, mains and desserts.

Our room was large and comfortable, newly decorated and although on the road side very quiet. The receptionist was really helpful to friends of ours who were travelling home via Manchester Airport and provided them with a list of options to get there.

The breakfast in the morning was the only disappointment, I think because of the numbers they struggled to serve us. We were left waiting for a long time to order and a long wait to bring out the food. Something had happened to the toaster and all the toast was coming out burnt but the staff were friendly which went some way to make up for the wait.

very friendly reception staff, clearly completed customer care training. hotel busy as mothering Sunday, but rooms quiet. would have like a little more light to work by. Breakfast very very good, freshly cooked.
conference facilities good, although would have like control over aircon. and participants wanted more biscuits. the chunky chips at lunch were CHUNKY!!!!!

Stayed for three nights. Main facilities and restaurant are very nice. Sadly the room we were in was in need of a bit of TLC. Bedside cabinet had a piece missing, headboard screwed to the wall with big posidrive screws, and generally looked a bit tied. We did have a good stay however, the staff are great and very chatty and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was really impressive and excellent choices well presented. Evening meal was perhaps not quite as good, great effort made but lacking a little 'flavor' but again well served and good efforts. We would stay again and although there are a few comments here it was not a negative experience, they are trying very hard and it is clear that they are achieving a lot but perhaps a little more care to detail needed.

well managed comfortable and clean. Wide dinner menu in refurbished restaurant. Food over salted but good. Bury black pudding and scallops and cheese platter excellent if over salty. Sea bass well cooked. Horrible bath taps and mid temp bath water only and breakfast only open at 0630! Too late for our schedule. Very repeatable.

We booked this hotel as we had stayed at their sister hotel in Cumbria and thoroughly enjoyed it. This hotel is wonderful! The reception team were amazing, so friendly. A lady called Stephanie checked us in, what a lovely lady! We also dined in the new restaurant - amazing! They the same branding for the restaurant as the other hotel so we were worried it wouldn't meet the same standard but it certainly did! I have since recommended this restaurant to local friends and family for birthday's and other celebrations. Thank you Red Hall!

Exceptional hotel, always a great welcome and friendly service.
The bedrooms have received a touch up since our last vist, really on top of their bedrooms here! nice & clean, fresh.
The restaurant has undergone a refurbish and new branding, which was really well done and the food very good indeed.
Worth the short journey into Manchester to stay here,
