We have visited before and enjoyed our Sunday carvery. But as it has been a while we decided to take some friends last Sunday to enjoy a Sunday lunch. The service was efficient and friendly and our starters and deserts were delicious. But our main course of a three meat carvery and vegetables was a big let down. The vegetables in the main were under cooked. We love Kale but it was virtually raw !.....the cauliflower cheese was inedible as it too was uncooked and hard....and the carrots and potatoes were cool. Disappointed with the dried up meat and cold gravy also. We did complain and were told that the Chief would be informed and an email wasn't answered. I just feel that if a meal isn't up to scratch it's only correct to let the restaurant know. This simply means that hopefully the problem would be rectified and customers would continue to go to lunch or dinner. We will probably return in the hope that the main meal would be much better and like it was on our previous visits but our friends certainly wouldn't. For the price, the service and lovely dining venue, it's a fab place for a meal but on this occasion it certainly was not.

We stayed here for two nights and were given an upgrade for only £10! The room was clean and very comfortable. All staff friendly and breakfast simple but good. The swimming pool and other leisure facilities were easy to access.
Our only grumbles were a noisy wedding party. This wasn't a real problem except that our TV volume was capped which meant that the sky movies upgrade we paid for was useless as we couldn't hear it. Second night was lovely and quiet though. Also the shower (which is very good, extra wide head and power mode) leaked on the floor making it slippery, so just be careful.
Overall a lovely stay. We would come again.

As a person who has stayed at the village before I just felt slightly let down today due to coldness of the room, unhelpful staff in the corridor and a blind that sat funny on the windowsill letting in light.

A good hotel that could be so much better with just a bit more care to cleanliness and maintenance. It has some good facilities including adjoining gym, swimming pool, pub and ample free parking.

The restaurant food is good but breakfast lacks healthy options.

The gym is very good and all guests have free access.

The hotel was lovely, clean. We were advised onarrival we'd been upgraded to club which was unexpected. The room was a little difficult to find as I think we were in an annexe of types but we're very happy with the room, it was lovely. Breakfast was great, staff were friendly, overall a great stay

The hotel was clean and well presented with the reception team offering a very warm welcome. On the whole staff we friendly and polite with the exception being the leisure club reception who were clearly struggling with refurbishments that were taking place whilst trying to manage customers.

I recently stayed for a business trip and what a fantastic stay it was. From the outset, I was a little worried as the reception was having quite a noisy refurb but the receptionist Melody was lovely and assured me i wouldn't hear any noise from my room. She was right. Melody directed me to my room and advised me of all the facilities available.
The club rooms are fantastic, the orthopaedic mattress was very comfortable and perfect for my bad back! The décor in the rooms is lovely, the new coloured wallpaper matches a wet screen in the bathroom, all praise to the designer. It was lovely to have such a large TV with Sky, makes you feel right at home. In the club room I also had the pleasure of a Tassimo coffee maker with a selection of brews and a Dyson fan to cool the room on these hot nights. The room featured a blackout blind and had a lovely view of the river. The shower was large, clean and hot with a choice of a overhead or handheld fall. The room had been meticulously cleaned, I couldn't find any dust and all the bathroom chrome had been polished.
I ordered room service from the menu. The thyme chicken with sweet potatoes was gorgeous and arrived before expected along with a very nice Pinot Grigio. The gentleman that delivered was lovely and chatty, Dan. If I stayed again I would definitely book into the restaurant and try some more from the menu.
I had a lovely nights sleep and was greeted by the restaurant staff in the morning for breakfast who couldn't do enough for me. I didn't use the leisure or spa facilities bit would highly recommend anyone to stay here based on the room, food and staff alone.
