Found this place at the last minute and was instantly impressed. The staff are great, rooms are pleasant, bathrooms are nice and bed was very comfortable. Bar/restaurant very nice, though had to wait ages for breakfast.

My husband and I stopped here for 2 nights to attend a wedding. The room was spacious although the bathroom could have been a little bigger. The food from the restaurant on the Friday night was very good & the wedding breakfast was also well presented and tasty. The venue was a good size for the wedding party and I would stay here again

This was our third celebration event with the family in the last 2 years. It's a great place for Sunday lunch . The service is great the staff very friendly and the food excellent. It's also good value for money . Only £14 for 2 courses and £18.95 for 3 .

I can't fault our visit in any way. The staff were friendly & helpful, the wedding ran perfectly (organisation, food, room, garden area) and our rooms were ready early, clean & well equipped. Above & beyond this the night porter courteously resolved a problem with a very noisy TV in an adjacent room & the receptionist was happy to look after a load of PA kit in her office, & the bridesmaid's shoes and handbag too. Even more impressive, this was the 2nd wedding of 3 this weekend. Well done the whole team!

This was a wedding. The room was adequate in size and facilities, good even. The wedding and follow-on arrangements were efficiently organised with a plentiful buffet in the evening.
Major complaints arise in the bar - rip-off prices e.g £4 for a 330ml bottle of Budweiser; tendency for short changing as the evening progressed; insistence that contactless payment be minimum £10 (relaxed when challenged). Room service not used but noted the £2.50 charge for every visit to a room by waiting staff - novel, not seen that anywhere else.

Obviously more of a business mans overnight stay type lodge/hotel and at £65 which I paid, demonstrates good value fir money. Modern, clean, comfortable....with one exception. Why do hotels think it's acceptable to provide, lumpy, flat pillows. The idea of a hotel is to provide a safe comfortable nights sleep. For gods sake put fluffy pillows in the room and this would have been 5 stars

Just had my wedding here :) I cannot fault warren the main guy who made my wedding perfect, everything went as smooth as it should, Very pleased, also the ladies and gents on reception absolutely lovely. Now to the guy on the bar tried to tell us we couldnt do contactless payment under £10 my husband said yes you can and swiped his card, Nothing else was said about it so watch out for that. Many people at the wedding were short changed so again watch out. Honeymoon suite was amazing. I would definately stop again but id take my own booze :) overall 👍🏽

Stayed here on the last of 3 nights of a girls weekend on motorbikes, excellent secure parking was a great start, we had a family room for 4 ladies,, it was 2 adjoining rooms each with its own bathroom, rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable, the dinning room was very modern, possible just been decorated,, our waitress was Melissa she was very attentive, had an excellent knowledge of the menu and was most helpful when we started having special requests,,, the only downside at dinner was the restaurant manager who kept appearing with a very disapproving look when we engaged the staff in conversation, the restaurant was not busy, didn't think we were doing any harm being friendly,,, breakfast was amazing, everything was on offer from parma hams to eggs benedict,, I would thoroughly recommend staying here,

Stayed one night prior to a funeral the following morning. The location was perfect. Cannot fault the staff, the reception girls were very friendly and welcoming and the restaurant staff were also very good, although the young man taking our drinks order didn't seem to know that Guinness wasn't a lager! Food was delicious and very good value for money, my wine at £6.95 a glass not such good value, even more expensive than our local, Cambridgeshire, pubs! Was a little surprised not to be offered toast with our Full English the following morning, although it may be that this was available on the continental buffet which I didn't look at as our cooked breakfast was included in the room rate. We had a ground floor, rear room (we had asked for a quiet room) and it was certainly quiet outside the hotel but we could hear everything going on in the room next door which is always a little disconcerting. Room size was fine and it was nice to have the kettle and a good variety of hot drinks. Had to ask for a second bath towel and weren't happy to find a damp bath mat left on the dressing table chair. All in all, fine for a night or two but probably wouldn't want to stay longer as lack of insulation between the rooms and being able to hear everything next door would be a bit of a problem for me.
