We have dined at Legends Restaurant on many occasions and in many scenarios. Universally the food is of an excellent quality with the emphasis on being locally sourced; always cooked to perfection and with a wide choice to suit all.

All the staff are friendly and welcoming too.

This is a review of most most recent of a total of four visits.

The hotel has an excellent bar and restaurant with friendly, efficient staff.

Rooms are comfortable, but lack air conditioning, so can get very warm on those rare sunny days!

Me and my wife booked on late and paid only £50 via late rooms

Absolute bargain we didn't expect it to be so nice. We didn't have breakfast I'm sure it would
of been lovely if it was upto the standard we experienced.

Stayed with friend before her wedding. We stayed in a connecting room. Lovely hotel but found the rooms quite small and quite compact . Breakfast was lovely , lots of choices and the kids loved helping themselves .Would recommend for weddings 😉 had a fantastic day and staff were lovely .

Stayed here due to a wedding we attended. The room (1) was a good size, bathroom clean and tidy. The duvet was too heavy and hot for the summer as the windows only opened slightly, there were no sheets available in the room and late a night I really could not be bothered ringing for assistance. Can't fault anything else other that the duvet. Would recommend this hotel. I have not yet sampled the breakfast but the wedding meal was excellent which rare these days.

We stayed at Red Hall for 3 nights then returned for one night the following weekend. It can be difficult to book a room for Saturday nights as it is a popular wedding venue. We found that the staff at the hotel were welcoming and friendly they appear to be motivated to provide a good service and enable their guests to feel relaxed and comfortable. We stayed in 2 different rooms both were spacious, clean, well maintained and well equiped. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of cereal, juice, fruit and so on. There was a good choice of cooked food including full english, kippers, smoked haddock and smoked salmon. We had dinner in the restaura nt on one evening the food was delicious, hot and well presented. The hotel sometimes has restaurant deals ie 40% off the al a carte menu when booked on line .Worth looking out for.

I stayed at the Red Hall Hotel earlier this month for a wedding. It is really easy to find. It's just off the motorway, but not so close that you can hear it. There's ample parking on site.
The rooms are really well set out. As I had my toddlers with me, the only thing it would have benefitted from was a mini-bar fridge (that I could keep milk in). What was there was superb though. The bed was really comfy.
The staff were really nice and friendly. Breakfast too was fantastic. On my first morning I had eggs Benedict. The egg was poached to perfection, and the hollandaise was nice and tangy. On my second morning I had a full-English with real Bury black pudding.
The price was reasonable too, although I got a discount as I was with a wedding party.
I'd recommend this hotel to anybody staying in this area.

The Red Hall was the chosen venue of my daughter and her now husband to hold their wedding reception on Saturday 6th September 2014. As the parents of the bride, my wife and I are over the moon at their choice.
As a venue, The Red Hall is very well located. It is exceptionally well maintained, unlike some other local potential wedding venues and it is very clear that the planning and effort that goes into a wedding is fully appreciated by the staff.
From the moment our guests arrived the staff were excellent. They were all extremely smart, polite and attentive and cannot be faulted.
The wedding meal was excellent (very good sized portions too) and the service throughout was faultless, for example the iced water on the tables was regularly refilled without any need to request it and our wedding planner (Warren) kept us informed throughout the day as to what and when things were happening, he was top notch!
As The Red Hall do an 'all inclusive' type package it takes a lot of the pressure of planning a wedding away. They use the services of numerous local companies and because they have worked together many times it is seemless. They even include a really nice gesture of a first anniversary meal for the newlyweds.
My daughter and her husband were over the moon with their special day and we cannot thank everyone at The Red Hall enough for everything they did to make the day so memorable.

As we were attending a family function on a Sunday we decided to go early and spend a couple of days here. This hotel was unknown to us, although we had previously lived in the Bury area. Parking was without problem, with plenty of space to the rear of the hotel. Indeed finding the hotel was easy, being just off the motorway network. Our welcome was genuinely warm and we soon settled in to our fairly spacious modern hotel room. We had invited a nephew and his wife to join us for supper. There was the aftermath of a wedding present and, at no time, did we feel overwhelmed by numbers or in anyway out of place. There is plenty of space here for everyone. The menu was extensive and the food quality was amazing - it takes a lot to amaze me! I had been expecting average, but this was excellent. Bury is well known for it's black pudding and it featured in the starters. Chef had blended it well and my nephew was in heaven. My starter included crayfish. I just wish other chefs would make more use of them, as it is a great way of using up an invasive species. The mains were of equally superb quality and included liver which was divine, as was the steak - blue came out blue. The two men supplemented their mains with some excellent Guinness. So the evening continued, culminating in nightcaps in an anteroom between the main restaurant and the bar. In this area drinks and bar snacks can be enjoyed in comfort. It was a truly great evening, during which we enjoyed a level of quality which, I have to confess, was unexpected. So it was at breakfast time, with an extensive menu selection being presented, to start the day. There was no sign of the dreaded breakfast buffet here! The family gathering went well and, once again, for a large group the food quality was of an excellent standard - not always an easy task for some chefs. The hotel has great flexibility and was designed to cater for both large social functions and business meetings. It was our pleasure to stay here and we are grateful to Will, Sam, Manuel and Alberto for taking such excellent care of us throughout our time there..
