This was our third stay at this hotel which is conveniently located for Bury. Again, we found it good value for the £72 we paid for bed and breakfast. Without exception, all of the staff we came into contact with were pleasant and helpful and the room, whilst somewhat basic, was clean and comfortable and more than adequate. Certainly worth considering

Hi,
We went to an evening Wedding reception this weekend Sun 19th August 2012 and stayed over night. It was one of the nicest enjoyable Hotels we have stayed at, top class. All the staff were so helpful specially Jenna(I think it is spelt like this),smiles all around and really made us welcome. The food was first class and anybody thinking of getting Married there, do it, you will love it. For those who want to eat somewhere else, there is a lovely pub five minutes away called The Lord Raglan, worth a visit.

stayed here recently whilst on business and one of the best hotels i have stayed in, happy smiles at the front desk greet me as i checked in and this was replicated throughout the hotel by the housekeeping staff, bar and waiting staff, management and even the night porter.

really nothing was too much trouble for them.

checked in early evening and whilst i didnt want a large meal had possibly the best fish and chips i have hade for a long time, fish was delicous, batter nice and light and the hand cut chips fantastic.

the rooms are nice and the shower fantastic all to often hotel shoewers have poor water pressure

breakfast was well cooked and presented the next morning

will definatley be back when in the area

A late arrival on Friday 24th, my partner had pre-booked and left her card details to reserve the room. On arrival, neither her nor my card would work, and the staff remained entirely professional and courteous as we resolved this problem by phone and email with the respective banks (black mark to the Bankers, big tick for the hotel...)

Once checked in, there was no change from the friendly and helpful demeanour of the staff, and we were shown to the room.

What can I say - I've stayed in some "three star" hotels in my time, but this was absolutely flawless, even down to the free (and no log-in required) Wifi having dedicated ADSL for different areas of the building,

This is a hotel with everything - good, helpful courteous staff, excellent food and drinks, continental bar timings, fantastic, yet easy to reach location, and free parking to boot.

I will be back soon.

We stayed here for a wedding and paid £80.00 for a double room and bed and breakfast. The room was nicely decorated, clean and well maintained and had all the amenities you would expect, including flat screen TV, hair-dryer, iron and ironing board.

It is surrounded by countryside and is located close to the motorway junction and also close to the pretty village centre of Ramsbottom and there is free car parking on site. Although convenient the location could be better as it is on a major road with only a small amount of outdoor space that is adjacent to the car park.

The wedding food was delicious as was the breakfast, which was included in the room price and cooked to order and if this is anything to go by the restaurant must be very good. The service was also excellent throughout our stay.

I would recommend staying here if you are going to a wedding or visiting the area.

Stayed here for the Saturday of the Ramsbottom Festival, the lady on the desk was brilliant got us in the room as soon as she could. The room which was a disabled room was great although it was close to the main entrance we were never disturbed. Our concerns about the wedding party disturbing our sleep were unfounded once we were in the room couldn't hear a thing and slept very well. Breakfast and the staff there were great as well. Perfect place for a slow walk into Ramsbottom and the delights of that little enclave.

We have just returned from the Red Hall Hotel from a family meal. The decor was lovely and one waiter George was very attentive, but on the whole a little disappointing from what they claim to offer. Food was average but pricey! out of six desserts on the menu there were only two available!! One member of staff was quite challenging with my father when he was unhappy with something - not what I expect from good customer service, unfortunately we wont be returning anytime soon.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights as part of my friends wedding group, she was getting married in a local church and then reception at the Fishermans Retreat.

Free parking and wifi. Check in was painless and we were informed about booking dinner as they were busy and had a wedding on that night.

The room was nicely decorated, the bath could do with being updated but the shower was nice and hot and powerful so did the job. Cleanliness was excellent across all areas in the hotel.

The main problem is that the hotel was quite noisy, mostly due to the thin walls and heavy slamming doors which meant that you could hear next doors full conversation/ tv program and were woken up continuously with banging doors...soft closing doors would make a massive difference! The room was hot so uncomfortable to sleep in the first night.

The restaurant area was lovely decorated, like a modern conservatory. The dinner in the evening was good, and the breakfast was nice. Overall the staff were very polite however service was quite slow at dinner but that being said it was very busy and there was the wedding on too.

Overall a good stay, good value for money and certainly did the job and would use it again if in the local area.
