All the staff were polite and helpful, Lilly stood out and went out of her way to make sure we had a great evening in the restaurant. The food was great too, looking forward to next time already!!!! Visited with my fiancé on 14th September 2024.

We had an amazing stay for my 40th birthday. Pierce on the front desk went above and beyond to help and helped bring our luggage to the room and sort out my birthday cake surprise. 🥳
Susanne in the spa went above and beyond and made sure myself and my 2 friends were able to have our spa treatments at the same time.
It was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday. The decorations on our table at dinner and the staff joining in celebrating and singing happy birthday. It was the little thing's that made the weekend so special. Thank you

Fantastic anniversary stay.
All the staff were extremely attentive to any needs we had. They made the stay feel extremely warm.
The hotel itself is beautiful. A 13th century home with history all around the building from all the generations previously in the home.
The grounds are lovely and expansive, great for a walk and even a trek through some woodland.
Little additional touches provided throughout the stay. Discounted late check out, robes slippers all made it feel that bit more special.
We didn’t eat here on this occasion so no comment on food however from what we could see. Seemed to be buffet breakfast along with a sit down evening meal with a pub styled option for lunch and dinner.

I stayed at the hotel last week for a two night spa break and had a lovely and relaxing stay. Staff were very friendly and attentive. A special mention to Amy on reception who made me feel very welcome and comfortable during my stay and to spa therapist Danielle for the relaxing ishga back and foot treatment.

Good food and good location. Close to major Towns and cities.
The staff were professional and helpful. An issue occured with parking and was quickly resolved by Amy Elizabeth. Deserves mentioning as she went the extra mile to resolve painlessly

Thankyou so much to all the staff at the Dunkenhalgh for making my boyfriend’s birthday stay so special. From the birthday cocktails and table decorations, to the little birthday cakes and singing happy birthday, just wonderful from start to finish. The room we stayed in was huge and very clean. A special shout out to Chloe in the restaurant she could not have done more for us. Thankyou, we will be back soon

A very friendly and professional front of house staff member gave me all the necessary information on arrival. The hotel room I booked was a standard double that was more than adequate. The room was extremely large with plenty of mirrors throughout and had a large comfortable bed with a large TV and plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom was of a modern design.Overall it was a very good clean well kept room. I was very surprised after reading some negative reviews regarding this hotel and considered changing my room to an upgrade but found everything about this hotel to be of a high standard although some upgrading in places is needed which would be expected of a busy hotel.

The room was lovely, huge and very clean. They even wrote on the mirror for us which was such a nice touch. Bathroom was very modern and the bed was so so comfy! The bar had a great atmosphere and the bar staff were very friendly. The hotel made us feel very welcome and looked after. The spa was great too the facilities were amazing and we really enjoyed it. Would definitely return!

Very much new to writing reviews but I had too today after tonight, when it has been absolutely brilliant service. The staff have gone above and beyond for everyone as I’m writing this from us and another couple in the bar. Chloe was outstanding the level of service she has is impeccable for being just a young girl. She gave us table service in the bar for our food because the bar was getting quite backed up, made our coffees and brought them over so my elderly mum didn’t have too. Another couple mentioned her ability to make people laugh and put a smile on their face, we seen her getting along with every customer she spoke too like she had known them for years. Absolutely brilliant, words can’t express how good the staff work well together. The bar staff were great too, Liam and Sean keeping up with us making the queue never ending. Keep up the good work guys and the banter! Credit to the hotel. Sarah H.

We were on a coach trip. So I think we were undervalued.
Room 39 in the stables block. Near the covered in entrance to the hotel. Noisy with smokers in the evening.
Room. Ok but reported 3 light not working. 1 replacement and 2 not even having a bulb in?
Bathroom. No heated towel rail or radiator in the room. Very cold at night especially why the small window was jammed open.
Tea tray. Ok but no biscuits? Asked for some had told we do not give them to coach passengers. What???
Food was ok. Service a bit slow and milk for coffee/tea left on table and curled.
