We initially accessed the Spa and had a foot scrub and massage. Stacey and the girls were so lovely, the massage felt very personal targeting key areas of pain/troubles rather than the standard massage you normally get. We then accessed the other spa facilities, which was very relaxing. The afternoon tea was delish.

The overnight stay was also lovely. We stayed in a privilege room and it was a great size and very comfortable. We sat in the court yards and gardens in which there are many of. The building itself is stunning with grandeur, beautiful staircase, and detailing throughout.

The breakfast was also a good selection and the dining areas and modern and well decorated.

As an advisory to the hotel I think they need to update the photos to reflect any renovations to show all the hardwork 😊

This hotel was a last minute get away for a few days just me and the wife.
Yes we done the room upgrade I didn’t feel there was much point though as the standard looked just as good
The grounds were really well looked after great photo opportunities
The staff were great one night was really hot messaged them came straight up with a fan great job
The restaurant great food was great would of like a more extensive menu choose to eat out one night loads of close options
The spa facilities yeah great very clean and again polite staff nothing was a trouble.
Would I stay again definitely 100%
I understand upgrades take time but to make it more pleasant for me I would of loved a air conditioner unit especially after upgrading rooms

Then to upgrade the hotel and install e.v chargers would of been a real treat

All in all very good and would return

Really enjoyed our two night stay amazing location and very grand entrance to the hotel. The was lovely and big room comfortable bed and very quite and slept well. The food was also very good we had breakfast and evening meal and could not fault it. The hotel also has a swimming pool and spa which we also enjoyed using. Highly recommend having a massage if you can very relaxing indeed and a great way to end a busy day. Everyone was very friendly and so thank you to everyone and we will definitely be back.

Stayed for two nights mid week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is great, easy to find as you drive up to the hotel there is a car park in front of the hotel with plenty of spaces and. The hotel is very grand and you get a really nice first impression. Everyone was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The General Manager Nick I have known and sometime and is doing a great job in a short amount of time. Enjoyed an evening at the hotels Spa and Pool area it’s very relaxing and joined to a bar where you can have a meal or a drink in a relaxed astrosphere. The room we had was huge very comfortable bed, the hotel was busy but at the same is very quiet which I really liked. Lots of places to sit outside. Food was great and would definitely return. Thank you all for a great stay

We decided to stay at this hotel when traveling up from Kent to visit some friends, we stayed in a room in the courtyard area which was a little quieter than the main hotel as there where functions on both Friday and Saturday night, room was clean and tidy with a comfortable bed only downside was the laundry carts being pushed by just before 8am on the Saturday morning. Used the spa and pool in the afternoon great experience all be it with a £10 charge per adult .
On the Friday night we opted to eat in the restaurant and was pleasantly surprised the food was reasonably priced for a hotel and very tasty probably the best pork belly I’ve ever had.
Breakfast buffet was average and a little overpriced at £16.50 per person
Overall a good weekend and will use this hotel again when visiting the area next year .

Stayed for 2 nights and everything was spot on really. Checking in was fast and easy, room was all good and clean. Breakfast was lovely and the pool staff. Bar gave us many bottles of J20 as we dont drink alcohol. We came for our anniversary and loved our stay.

Stayed here many times over the years, but feel this hotel is in need of an overhaul now. Our room was clean but hot, and 3 of the four windows would not open, making sleep difficult. The dinner menu seems to have been paired right down and was quite limited (no specials on the night we were there). Now charging £10 pp for a swim, so we didn't bother. We stayed in the main building and noticed a musty smell as you walked through from the bedrooms to reception. Yes it is old and could be a beautiful hotel, but it definitely needs a revamp. All in all would not stay again.

We used the Dunkenhakgh for a buffet to celebrate a family friends life after a funeral at St John’s church Accrington The staff were very helpful & nothing was too much trouble Funerals are an occasion for mixed emotions and I felt they showed empathy. The food was well presented and of a good quality Everyone seemed happy with what was on offer. Mixed sandwiches, salads, Chips and cakes plus unlimited tea & coffee.

This lovely building needs a revamp. It’s tired and in need of some love, but the charming staff make the best of what they have and do their best to deliver good customer service. We had a warm greeting and a special mention must go to Aziz who was a bit of a superstar during our stay.

£10 each for a swim is a rip off.

I wouldn’t stay again, but if it was restored to its former glory I’d be there as soon as I could.

We have just come back from a fantastic wedding at this venue where our friends got married. Everything was spot on from start to finish. Food was brilliant as was the service and facilities. I’d like to give a special mention to the bar staff, Liam, Rex and Jess who went above and beyond for us all night and have exceptional customer service skills. They looked after us amazingly and were very accommodating and friendly. Thank you Liam, Rex, Jess. We will certainly be back and recommending to friends and family.
