Hotel and spa is set in peaceful grounds, although showing signs of age it still has a welcoming atmosphere. Three different eating establishments! Reasonably priced and family friendly

We got married at the dunkenhalgh on the 28th of August 2026 in the townley suite.
We had Jaqueline as our wedding coordinator and she was amazing. Nothing was ever too much. From booking to the wedding day was smooth. She even rocked my 11 month old whilst I was getting married. She made sure everything ran smoothly and was checking in with me whilst getting ready to see if I needed anything. Nothing was ever too much to ask.
The location is absolutely beautiful. The atmosphere was really welcoming. Our bridal suite was clean.
In a whole we had a beautiful day, but a big thank you to Jaqueline who made everything run smoothly and made sure we was happy and confident with the wedding venue we had chosen.

Started visiting Walmersley as the weather improved 2026. Since then, I’ve visited regularly because the course has interesting and challenging holes that make you want to come back again and again.
Greens are higher quality and fairways always good.
Cost is thankfully reasonable and can be paid online. Bar opens at 11, another bonus if starting early.

We have glass partitions with hydraulic door hinges that had failed over time.
Tried contacting a number of local suppliers, and Walkthru were the only ones we felt competent to do the replacement work.
We made the right choice – their guys were courteous and efficient, and did a clean job. Would definitely recommend... and Walkthru are now added to our list of approved suppliers.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Olympus Fish and Chip Restaurant is a fantastic spot for a delicious and satisfying meal! The food was fresh, hot, and full of flavour, with perfectly cooked fish and crispy chips. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the overall experience was excellent. Definitely a great place for quality fish and chips—I’d happily visit again and highly recommend it!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ EKAM CAFE N LOUNGE is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy a great time. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, the service is friendly, and the overall vibe makes it a lovely spot to unwind with friends or family. A wonderful place to visit and definitely worth recommending!

Quite an unexpected hotel so near housing. It has the atmosphere of a more rural hotel that you expect to be away from the town. The room we stayed in was spacious and the bed felt that large you needed a passport to visit the other side. We didn't try the meals as we were visiting friends, but the cooked breakfast was ideal. They slightly lacked in the selection of cold/continental style breakfast items.
Staff were quick to help when assistance was asked for.
Considering the occupancy/size of the hotel I felt it could use a few extra disabled parking spaces nearer the front.
Drinks prices were reasonably priced and the lounge areas comfortable, but, like a good part of the hotel, has started to look "tired". They could do with a few 'soft close ' mechanisms on some corridor doors.
Still, certainly a place I would return to.
