Sooooo expensive. Had small chip portion - still cost nearly a fiver. Canned drinks 2.45 whaat!!! Had lager instead . I get annoyed by soft drinks being marked up so much. Tea equals one teabag but lots of hot water and fussy little jugs. At the end of the day, you’re paying 3-45 for a teabag - luckily my wife always has spares. Toasted teacake - one miniature pat of butter - er…don’t think so. To do her credit the girl brought an extra two pats. If the manager found out she’d be for it. This place hates to be generous with portions. Profit is king.
That said, IMO, the chips are the best in Lancashire, and people who say otherwise need their tastebuds looking at. The surroundings are fabulous, everywhere is clean and luxurious.
But the prices go against the grain for a tight Northerner like me. I’m certainly not forking out for a whole meal there - I’m not the Duke of Westminster.

A group of 58 people had the best experience of fantastic quality and very professional service we had fish chips mushy pea bread and butter tea & coffee with cream, served by a wonderful professional family and staff even though there was 58 persons every meal was hot out at the same time and tasted excellent very good quality, we had music some ladies had a dance, then our afternoon continued with home baked scone with butter jam & proper whipped cream it was a magical day a exceptional time Thank you to the staff and wonderful professional family even Mum helped , everywhere was spotless toilets very clean and all was easy accessible.

On an infrequent visit to Bolton I was horrified at the town centre. The only way I could describe it is 'a dump'. How wonderful that the Olympus Restaurant has survived. It's a haven of old fashioned service, happiness and good food. I used to go in when Tasos was a young man, rushing to open the door for his customers to come in and go out. Luckily he still has the energy to do it. It was wonderful to watch all the staff working together doing whatever is needed.

Great food, service, atmosphere and value for money. Second time we have visited and it hasn't disappointed. Busy Saturday but even though the restaurant is full the service and food was fantastic. Toilets spotless, dining area spotless. Would highly recommend and will be returning.

Went to Olympus while visiting friends. Fish & Chips were very nice. However being from London i didn’t expect £2.75 for one can of cake Zero. I’m not sure they even charge that at The Ritz or Shrangri-la.

This was an excellent restaurant for a family lunch and visit to the Octagon Theatre matinee.
We all had the fish and chips special with bread and a pot of tea. Excellent quality and very good value. very friendly and efficient staff.

Visited a number of times. First class food. First class staff, treat you like you really matter. Disabled customers well cared for. Blue badge parking right outside but very often full. More blue badge parking at rear on the road. Paid public car park nearby. There is a pianist there sometimes. Disabled toilets clan and well designed. Pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant also runs coach trips from that location, the trips terminating at the restaurant for a meal inclusive. Prices are not over the top considering the excellent service on offer. Well worth a visit.

Had a fish and chips lunch today as part of a large coach party and the food was freshly cooked and service was excellent. Good atmosphere with live piano music. Plus there was a bar serving beers and wine. Would certainly recommend and be happy to return
