I have been lunching at Olympus Bolton along with my sister each Wednesday since years before lockdown.
All the serving staff and those who take your order behind the counter, in particular Linda and also, a gentleman, I think his name is Ali, are excellent and always make us feel welcome. It is very nice when loyal custom is appreciated by the staff.
We order Fish & Chips (pensioner’s special) which is good value, plentiful and delicious. The restaurant is kept clean and tidy with a good hygiene value of 5. The owner Tasos keeps a VERY keen eye on everything ensuring the service he expects from the staff is upheld.
Would highly recommend, not only for lunch but afternoon tea is good as well.

Visited this restaurant as part of a coach trip to the area, about 25 of us in total. Immediately we arrived we were greeted by the two guys (I assume owners/managers) who made us feel incredibly welcome with their humour and verse. Venue was spotless and well kept, service was prompt and courteous.
The fish and chips were among the best have had, lovely white fish and just the right amount of batter. The chips were also excellent.
If anything, could have done with a few more chips (this is testament to how much I enjoyed them!) but this could have been to do with it been a "coach party" price, rather than if booked independently.
Would definitely come again if in the area.
PS upon leaving the restaurant, noticed a counter of delicious looking ice cream, so just sorry I didn't have enough time there to order some!

The staff at the ‘Olympus Fish and Chip Restaurant’ are always warm, welcoming and very helpful - nothing is ever too much trouble.
I had the Rag Pudding (traditional Lancashire dish) with chips and gravy. It arrived very quickly and was tasty.
Will definitely come here again.

Eat here last week after being at The Octagon Theatre , and what a lovely time we had. Food good , service good and very pleasant being serenaded by the lovely pianist.

Lovely place to go, when we go its usually Saturday tea time, we call it our posh chippy tea, food always exceptional and kooked to order, staff always makesure you enjoy your visit and cant do enough for you. Made me hungry now, will probably book for tomorrow now.😋

We are only in Bolton centre every two months or so, but always make a point of going here on our way home.
Always with a slight worry that it will not be as good as our last visit, but happily it always is.
From the welcome from Ali at the door, to the smile and helpfulness of all the other staff, Tasos always happy to chat with his customers, the cleanliness, but most of all the excellent quality and taste of the food.
Yet again when our food arrived, we thought that we may struggle with the generous portions, but 15 minutes later found us ordering a sweet also. Faultless in every way.

My friend and i were actually looking for the wetherspoons but as we were walking past we were greeted by an amazing smell of yummy food that stopped us in our tracks. we were delighted that it was an actual resturant and not just a chippy or cafe. we were seated by the extremley helpful staff.And both enjoyed our food very much and were stuffed to the max the fish chips and proper curry sauce with sultans in was just like Blackpools , my friend had the homemade cheese and onion pie and was also very happy so i think we stubbled on a little gem of a fish and chip resturant and i will be bringing my in laws for lunch.

Complex pricing . A meal with 6 chips is dearer than one with lots of chips.

First time visiting here today-despit living in Bolton for almost 20 years and I was so impressed. Great menu, great food choice and tasted amazing! The restaurant was clean and staff super friendly-there was even a pianist playing the piano whilst we were there this afternoon. Definitely recommend this place and will be going back again!

We arrived in Bolton and were headed to 'Spoons for lunch but as we passed Olympus it looked very inviting. Sorry 'Spoons but we went in. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and well priced. The atmosphere was good, very busy, and we even got a bit of the pianist who was excellent. Only downside was they didn't have the range of drinks that 'Spoons have, but we will definitely call in again when in Bolton.
