Beautiful grounds. The castle is itself is nice but the gardens are the star of the show. They host a fantastic medieval festival in August. Ideal for a family day out.

Excellent place, beautiful architecture, big garden suitable for a long walk or picnics. You can only visit the inside of the castle with a guided tour they provide which is very interesting, the tour is not suitable for children, the interior of the castle is much more modern but there are still some interesting details of the medieval times.

Fantastic medieval festival. Lots of fun, a lot of things to do. You need at least 2 days to really appreciate and enjoy it. Luckily, they do weekend camping tickets too :)
