Many achievements records are erased and replaced with better once.
My wife and I are in Preston at Holiday Inn to share vacation joy. We have had some very good experiences at various at Hotels all over the continents and few have been in top of the pack so far. This one joined the stack.
We arrived yesterday, and all was very good. We had issues with comfort room and shower, experienced during the night. Snag was reported to reception associate soon after dawn, she promised to resolve it right away while glancing at my walking aid -cane. But nothing happened till 1500 Hrs noon.
I had to enhance my concerns of safety concerns to the Management .
team and Manager Mr. Fekri Moussa, visited our room, apologized and promised to rectify the situation
Deputed Associate Guest Rep. Mr. Bupinder- Manager Boss in the making- to transfer to another room , who appeared at our door with new room key cards with a smile to ready to kill Smile all frustration.
Moved over , settled and we are happy.
Humans age and get wise, buildings age and rage.

Lovely Hotel. Very friendly staff and the food was good. Only stayed one night as going to Isle of Man, but would recommend this hotel and would be happy to use again.

Hestercombe is a 'must visit' garden. Never disappointing and always interesting and beautiful. Our most recent visit, in early spring, provided the opportunity to walk in woods carpeted in bluebells and other wildflowers, and view butterflies in the valley of the old landscaped gardens. It was also good to enjoy the structure of the formal Jekyll/Lutyens garden, even though there were few flowers in bloom. The views from the gardens to the Vale of Taunton are superb as always. A highly recommended visit.

I love taking the kids here, it is a great place to bring them as they can run and explore and we can make up fairy tales as we walk around. It is beautiful and the perfect length of walk. We just keep returning and each time have a lovely time.

Really interesting gardens, wonderful landscape gardening, lots to explore from formal to informal, lakes, grottos, waterfall, paths and nice plant centre. The house was a bit disappointing, but we spent 5 hours exploring the grounds, so a great day out.

Well we really enjoyed the gardens here today lots to see and such a fabulous designed garden we had nice weather which helps :) enjoyed the walk in the woods and am not sure about the buildings you come across ?
I felt the materials were to modern on some , the charm was not there which was a shame but overall we liked what we saw .
Now for the bad point 'the house' we were disgusted with what has been done to this amazing building the heart has been ripped out and they have made it into a gallery which is full of weird art which I know some people like but this stuff was inappropriate for children and not a warning in sight .
Shame on you owners of hestercombe I hope the national Trust buy this place and tastefully return this gem to its former glory as clearly you do not care about the history of this once beautiful home .
