I'm elderly and toured the zoo in my mobility scooter. The zoo is totally accessible and beautifully landscaped. Many of the larger zoos could learn something about the layout of enclosures from this zoo. Due to the clever design of the animal enclosures and the spotlessly clean glass viewing ports, we were able to experience all of the animals on display.<br>The zoo possesses a majestic mature male lion and lioness, quite outstanding. Also featured was a snow leopard and several emus, a gorgeous red panda, all of which were clearly visable and easily photographed. We had coffee and cake whilst watching the antics of a black bear. Lunch in the restaurant was a jacket potato, perfect for the occasion. The dinosaurs, we passed on, so can't comment.

I have been taking my granchildren to this Zoo for years. It is such great value and the staff are so always so welcoming. A couple of weeks ago my car would not open and my two young granchildren were still in the car. The staff were amazing and offered to take my husband home to get the spare key as we lived locally. Whilst I waited outside the car the staff could not do enough to help me and to try to distract the kids who at times were distraught. I cannot thank the staff enough for their assistance in what was a worrying situation.

Hertfordshire Zoo is a brilliant day out for all ages. The animal enclosures are well-kept, and you can get surprisingly close to some of the animals, which makes the experience even more special. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and there’s plenty to do to fill a whole afternoon.

Our visit to the zoo at Hertfordshire zoo was a pleasant experience. We observed a wide variety of animals, and the children greatly enjoyed the trip. I highly recommend visiting the zoo for an educational and enjoyable outing.
