We stayed as part of wahanda deal. Excellent value for money. The hotel has no faults from what we could see. All staff, were very friendly, special mention to Hannah Greene (waitress in the restaurant) she was really professional and had good knowledge of the menu. One of the best meals we have ever had, and we have been to may hotels, rest etc. Service was second to none.
The food was really outstanding. Leisure club was clean, very relaxing round pool and jacuzzi area. Bedroom was spotless, we stayed in room 897. Bed very comfortable, and bathroom was sparkling. We hope to return here again in the near future. Thank you for making our short stay wonderful.

Could not fault this hotel for the money. I kept waiting for there to be a catch, but there wasn't one. After a long journey broken by stays in Travelodges and Premier Inns (both fine) this hotel offered something more personal and individual. The room was spacious and newly painted and on a late arrival, the check in was shortened. We were also pleasantly surprised to find the bar still open and the bar staff and other guest were up for a chat. The breakfast was good and the staff managed to be attentive whist leaving us some space. We visited the pool after check out - this was no trouble. It offered more facilities than I expected and there was a babies' swimming lesson in a cordoned off area which I liked - there was a real sense of the hotel adding to the local community. This hotel was not luxurious but was relaxed, comfortable and friendly - a real 'home from home'.

Good modern looking hotel with use of swimming pool, handy for the motorways (parking included). Took the summer 2 night offer ( stayed mid week, so function rooms not in use) staying in an area We hadn't thought of visiting before.
Friendly helpfull receptionist expalined the facilities, room was impecably clean. Dinner booked for 7 pm but no food came out for anyone until 7.45 ( 7 tables of people waiting) So second evening went in to Bolton and Found "The Chinese Buffet" on Bridge street.... very good and very filling! Breakfast good and wide ranging though run out of muesli and eggs-fried and scrambled by 8.45, though available by request.
Trips out we enjoyed the Lowry at Salford Quays, right balance of description and paintings and free. Then walked over the bridge to the Imperial war museum, didn't find that worth while.. In a different direction, Helmshore Mills Textile Museum well worth the visit to see the machinery in action.

just recently had a 2 night midweek stay here through groupon deal. The hotel was really nice, with very kind and helpful frinedly staff. the room was quite small and hot, even with window open but was very clean and had everything we needed. We used the hotel gym and pool on our first day and were very impressed with the facilities. As part of the groupon deal we had tea on the first night and could have no complaints about the food, the chips been absolute lovely. breakfasts both morning were very good, with plenty choice. would definately use this hotel again if staying in the area

This hotel, although a chain has charm and the likeability factor. The staff are friendly and attentive and really do believe in customer service. What sets it apart from the Deveres, Premiers and Travel lodges is the added hospitality so although you know what you are getting with a branded hotel, you also get that little bit extra.

I had booked a nights stay for a friends wedding and after reading all the previous great reviews I expected a great stay which wasn't the case. I will start with check in, great quick service even though we turned up 20 mins before check in time which a bonus. The room was very clean and quite large which is always welcomed however the hotel is constantly hot and with the windows in your room opening an inch an having no air con this is an issue Mecure need to resolve. Whilst the room was large there was a small desk with the TV and internet, there is a travel kettle which was on a very low shelf next to the bathroom with a very small selection of tea and coffee, but no biscuits, even a £39 Campanille hotel has these little touches. I have knee problems so making a brew proved difficult and painful for me, why there is not a larger desk so the kettle can be on it I have no idea. Breakfast was the most dissapointing, first you wander through part of the empty resturant feeling lost to then meet an almost empty buffet, dirty tables and no staff, this was half way into the breakfast time slot! after waiting for 10 mins for tables to be cleared an re set we then waited a further 10 mins for awful filter coffee. There seemed to be remains of fresh fruit, yoghut, cooked breakfast and some fruit juices which I was unclear what they were as there were no signs to indicate. The only items that were replenished during our visit were eggs. The entire expereice was a waste of time wish had gone to Tesco for a cooked breakfast. This hotel could quite easily be amazing if they really wanted to. Other issues I found were black paint spots on a wooden staircase which ruined how nice others parts of the hotel were, diffcuilty getting drinks at the bar which is very overpriced £2 for a small coke or £3.70 for a pint! The bar food menu is also a rip off £5 for a bowl of soup, at these prices you would be better going down to middlebrook for food.

Stayed at this hotel for two days midweek and have to say that the customer service was excellent, in particular Emma in the restaurant. The hotel was modern with good amenities and was within easy reach of main connection roads. We ate in the restaurant during our stay and got two for one on all courses via our taste card, the food was excellent , good quality and well presented, although I don't think we would have ate in if we had not got the two for one as a bit overpriced, compliments to Eddie the chef, loved the signature soup and mushy peas with Jalapenos ! Breakfast was a buffet with every possible combination from cold to hot and a plentiful supply. The only negative comment is the price of wine, cheapest was £22 for a bottle. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable we paid a bit more for an executive room and it had plenty of space, only negative was the shower which no power but ample supply of hot water. Would stay again without any hesitation.
