This is lovely family day out that has a bit of everything. Due to covid restrictions only two food outlets and 2 ice cream huts were open and it was very busy, so queues were long. Better to take a picnic

After waiting a year (due to covid) I got to have my Meerkat experience here. It was worth the wait. A timed slot with a great keeper and three inquisitive meerkats (while you have food). You sit in with these lovely creatures and while their keeper tells you all about them they climb over you to get some of the food the keeper has provided. You have nothing to worry about as they happily take the food from your hand, thankfully identifying the difference between food and your hand! You can have gloves if you don't like the idea of holding chicken feet and mealworms in your palm. To be able to get so close was a privilege and I enjoyed every moment. My day was further enhanced by having the rest of the day to see what else Knockhatch has to offer. There is an unusual array of animals and birds, including farm animals, wallabies, kookaburras, peacocks, ducks, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs and owls. The owls are flown in a display twice a day and you can get a photo with one at the end. A lasting memory of the day will be being buzzed by an Eagle Owl as it flew over my head to it's handler!
Of course, this is a family oriented attraction and children will love Knockhatch for all the activities like the bouncy pillows, rides and water shoot. The catering on site is reasonably priced if you don't want to take a picnic. A true family day out that actually can fill a whole day. Personally, I will be back for the owl experience as I want to even closer than being buzzed!

Very busy at 10.00 long queue to get in although fast moving. Most of the things inside the park didn't feel that busy despite the amount of people and kids there. Except at lunch time huge queue in the playbarn for for food and at the burger stand. Prices for food and drinks are quite reasonable considering, kids had a great time, although they could possibly do with some more things for very small 2 to 4 year olds to do. Good range of activities and animals and owls to see. Well worth it

Awesome place for all kids ages. Just find the staff need to switch on a bit as I had to make sure the fastenings where secure and after had to retrieve my child.

Wow, what can I say, kids absolutely loved it. It's a place definitely not to be missed. There are lots for children to get excited about. You can bring your own packed lunch and have it in the picnic barn or you can purchase food on site.

The big quad bikes are for ages 13yrs and over. I had 10 and 11yr olds with me and the mini quad bikes were too small.

I suggest you arrive early if you want to secure a good parking spot or disabled parking bay because they are situated very close to the entrance. The overflow carpark is in a field and about a minutes drive to get to and 5mns walk back to the entrance.
