Amazing park that is not money grabbing. They have recently added even more great features. Wish we lived closer to it.

A really nice day out with the kids. Don't be fooled by the entry price, you need tokens which are a pound each, and a simple kids ride costs two tokens per child.
Watch out for the face painting, she charges a small fortune!
The shows they put on are roughly 2 to 3 tokens and last 30 to 40 minutes, consisting of magic shows, dancing, story telling. Which are good fun for kids and adults, and undoubtedly the cheapest way to get through the day.
I'd take my own food. Whoever designed the restaurant should be fired! The entrance and exit is right by the queuing area, so it's manic with everyone walking into eachother. And slow.

There are free playgrounds and so on.

Budget for the rides, pace yourself. It is worth a try.

There is a lot to do, but having to pay extra for some activities makes it more costly for families.

Great place to visit. I went there for an owl experince that was bought as a present. The experience is brilliant, approximately 2 and a half hours of flying, holding and feeding owls. The experience itself is done in single groups so we were able to ask lots of questions (thanks Ben!) and have a really personalised experience. Highly recommended.
In addition to the owl experince you also gain access to the rest of the park for the day, we saw the owl show, fed the Wallabys and saw lots of animals including Rocket the Racoon, Alpacas, ducks, meerkats, deer.
As we went on a Friday in mid-February during term-time it was quiet and peaceful, allowing us over-children to have the run of the place :)

A great experience for a young family. Parking on a Saturday was a challenge.

Came for an experience day with my daughter and her friend. Ben was absolutely fantastic. Very knowledgeable and very patient with the kids. Even managed to get my daughter to hold a tarancuta and snake. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves and he's definitely a huge asset to the place and clearly loves what he does. The lady that showed us the horses was fantastic at explaining to the girls too. There was also plenty to do on site (rides, shows, climbing wall, golf, animals you can get up close to, ball blast warehouse, outdoor play areas) well worth the money. Lots of places to eat too.
Signage wasn't the best, some of the signs were completely wrong so kids hadn't got a clue what the animals were, domestic chicken sign and some sort of beautiful peacock type bird in the cage.
Bit muddy this time of year understandably so take some wellies and you'll have a blast.
