A lovely way to spend an afternoon walking the gardens and enjoying the stunning views of Taunton and beyond. Suitable for all ages and plenty of places to sit and rest your feet. Once you've done the walk there is a lovely cafe/ resturant to treat yourselves.

I love these gardens, there are formal ones designed by Gertrude Jekyll and natural landscaped ones. My favourite are the natural landscaped ones, with beautiful views across Taunton from the temple and fun secret houses which includes a witches house, great fun for kids. Also a lovely waterfall. Theres a cafe and shop selling plants and gifts.

lovely room with amazing air con, only stayed one night but had a very good night's sleep.
Dining area good and food wasn't bad apart from lumpy mashed potato.
Breakfast very nice but lots of queuing and only one toaster for many people

Are real Gem. Booked for only one night as onward journey had to happen.Rocked up just after 14.00 and places available in the free car park.
Swift check in and to our room on 5th floor.
Well presented and spacious for a twin. Great beds and exceptionally clean.
Two of everything excepting…….. Coffee biscuits and water major slip up for what would have been 10/10.
Breakfast in a very up to date restaurant with good quality ingredients and great service.
Simple checkout and on we drove.

Absolutely faultless! Greeted by friendly staff upon arrival & check in, into an incredibly smooth lift up to the room. Spacious room with everything you could need, incredible clean as well. Comfy bed, ice cold A/C, lovely shower. Bar staff were also such nice people, food was excellent as well. Would definitely recommend staying here, probably the nicest hotel I’ve stayed in

Staff were absolutely wonderful very welcoming. Room and bathroom was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was amazing they had so many options and varieties to cater for all. We also had a lovely welcome message written on the mirror in our room, a lovely touch to our experience here. Made me smile. Definitely recommend 👌

I stayed here for 4 nights. I was booked a double room and when I arrived they gave me a twin room. I hate single beds, haven't slept in one for years. There was a problem with my shower head as it kept dropping out of the holder and spraying from the sides of the head. The regulator tap safety tab was missing, so I asked for them to have a look, but no one came. I enquired on two different days and they couldn't explain why the maintenance didn't turn up.
I was cold one evening, so try setting the aircon to heat and I waited ages for it to warm up, but it didn't, only to be told that it couldn't be done and that I would need a heater.
The carpet is grubby, in fact quite stained, and not nice to walk on. Glad I brought my slippers.
Staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was decent. The lady that greeted me at breakfast is lovely!
Parking can be a nightmare, we were worried to take the car out at night just incase we lost our space.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn in Preston and had a lovely time. Staff were really friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived. My room was spotless, very comfortable, and I slept well.
We ate a lovely meal at the restaurant during our stay. Breakfast was great too, plenty of choice, and I liked that you could have it brought to the room for just a couple of pounds more. Would definitely stay again when I’m in the area.
