Stayed 2 nights in a standard room on 2nd floor. Room and bathroom were very clean but tired, and in need of an update. Looked as though shower unit had been replaced recently which was good.
Breakfast was good, plenty of choice and hot buffet constantly being refreshed. Downside was entire hotel seemed extremely hot especially the dining room making it unpleasant at breakfast time. Room so hot at night had to leave window open, but then had to suffer extremely loud extraction fans outside.
Overall stay was OK but Mercure need to upgrade entire hotel soon.

We needed to stay in the area for business and we were pleased with our choice of hotel. It has a very large and free car park.
We had a large room which was clean and well facilitated with good views across the surrounding countryside.
The hotel is a little dated, but practical.
Breakfast was good. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. In particular, Irene in the bar area was very helpful.

Myself and my husband had our anniversary party here on Saturday. The organisers and staff were fantastic from booking to the end of the night. They could not do enough for us. We stayed overnight and the room was clean and really comfortable. The breakfast was lovely. A special mention to the event organiser Katie who was amazing.

We pop in for a bite to eat from time to time on a Saturday. The food is always good but what makes the visit is Irene at the bar. She’s so friendly and always provides the greatest service. We no longer say ‘let’s go to the hotel’ we say ‘let’s go and see Irene’. We’re looking forward to our next visit.

Spotless hotel and the rooms are clean too! very comfy beds and nice showers, the bar/restaurant area is beautiful too, not to forget the food!!😍 gorgeous!

This place is well presented and the staff well trained. The rooms are immaculate and so comfortable. The showers are awesome, so clean and powerful! The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows...awesome!

Good holiday inn. Staff where helpful with my delayed arrival. Hotel room was small and bed the mattress wasn't the newest or most comfortable but I slept well and it was clean. Hotel overall is a bit tired but helpful staff, good variety for breakfast. I'd stay again

Stayed here a few years ago and I must admit that it was great value for money. The bed was comfy and big and the tv was a good size. Not too big not too small. Great for chilling out and watching a bit of tv at the end of a long day.

Stayed here for one night as part of tour travelling to Scotland . A wonderful welcome. Friendly staff. Clean room . Very comfortable bed. We had a lovely evening meal, which was cooked well and was hot . So welcome after a long day travelling . Breakfast was self service , with a lot of choice , prepared by very helpful friendly staff .
